Not sure of the looks especially the bottom of the club. Won't be testing as I'm happy with my ping G410 and I'm now finding the amount of drivers that are being released promising more distance is unbelievable! The amount of new drivers you've tested and still average 262 🤔

Had a fitting of all the modern gear recently. I managed to pick up a brand new Mavrik head in my assumed spec, with a brand new, uncut Fujikura Fuel. Professionally built and saved about $600 in the process. Win.

After reviewing the entire line of Mavrik products, Callaway my bag! I really like the look of the woods, rink my dinks, and the Mavrik Pro irons, I was looking for a bag rebuild this year, and these bring back good memories of the X2Hot line from 2014. Orange my bag! I’ll tell em Matt sent me.

I’ve got the Mavrik Max. It’s a great sound when the 14gm weight is at the heel. When it’s not it’s a somewhat muted sound.

Went in for a demo and fit into the Cobra SZ and TM SiM. Completely ignored the Mavrik because I detested the sound of the Epic Flash so much last year... I’m extremely happy with the fit and gains I got by switching to SiM from my old M1, but I’m wishing I’d at least have given it a hit now.

I currently play a Ping Anser Driver from like 2012. Mark has tech advanced enough since then to look for a new Driver? I only ask because I've watched your channel for years and you still hit 262.. Other than irons getting extremely strong lofts it seems as if your numbers have stayed the same in all areas. Good to see you going back to the larger irons again.

Nahh. I got an epic flash from the custom shop in grey/anodized pink .. looks awesome. I went from sub zero ( too low spin for me). To standard flash with an atmos black shaft.. cut knuckleballs for days .. I WILL be pickin up a pair of those kicks though !!

So with Coach's swing speeds.. are his ball speeds considered "low?" If so is that due to strike and or delivery? Just curious because your ball speeds and carry yards are more "normal?" Hard to explain but with 118 club head speeds seems like his carries would/could be longer.. Thanks!

Don't know where you see his club head speed be as high as 118 in this vid. But if you are very efficient with the delivery of the driver, a ball speed of 1.5 times higher than the club head speed is very optimal. So 115 mph club head speed could very well deliver 172 mph ball speed. Now carry is another animal, but again it varies so depending on delivery.

1:10 THAT right there is why I couldnt stand every single Callaway driver ever, lol. They always had that rounded, rolled angle going on out at the toe and it just never suited my eye unlike Taylormade or Ping etc. Cobra's are guilty of that Callaway look too. But this Mavrik is a welcomed departure from Callaways of old. Thanks for pointing that out Matt.

Looks good. I'd hit it. As a club builder though, I'd say Matt never had a chance. Matt's High balance point shaft and a typically lighter head with Callaway, it's probably swing weighting at C8-C9. I wouldn't be able to hit it either, but I'll bet Mark could.
