Called Out: "Fake Romani Beggar" in Dublin?

An Irishman on the tram in Dublin told me that there are Romanian "fake beggars" in the city. People who post up on the street, beg for money, and hold signs indicating they are homeless and hungry.
The Irishman told me that these beggars are, in fact, not homeless at all. And that, instead, they live in homes, have money, and are systematically dropped off by their husbands (or fathers) around the city (in highly trafficked areas) on a daily basis, and generate income from begging. As opposed to working in the "real economy".
If that Irishman was correct, then these are people who are deliberately living in the "shadow" economy. Generating income from non-work. As opposed to "doing work".
Here in the video, we see a woman who has turned her sign inwards, and is doing all she can to avoid the attention of the camera.
Is she legitimately poor and hungry? Or is she part of a well-established scam system, that is attempting to milk cash out of people with sympathetic (albeit naive) hearts? I'll let you decide.

I once worked with an ex mortician and they had badly burned body from car crash that went on fire, the body was brought in still stuck to the car seat. It took over 6 weeks to identify the body by dental records as it turned out she was Nigerian woman that had 9 different identities, claiming the sole in different counties. So the point is she is a scammer and is likely scamming a lot more than you think. As I said - Vermin.

I saw one of them beggars get into a Rolls Royce one day. A chauffeur wearing a bowler hat actually got out and opened the back door for the rat. I couldn't believe my eyes, so I followed the Rolls Royce on my motorbike. They drove to a private helicopter pad near Malahide. The manky worm ran from the Rolls Royce into the helicopter, and to top it all off, Cindy bloody Crawford was holding the helicopter door open for him. She even spanked him on the arse as he leapt in. No idea where they flew to, but Crawford was wearing a French rugby jersey so most likely Stade de France. Years later I saw him again on Grafton Street. Cindy Crawford wasn't with him, so maybe he got fired or something.

I live in Canada and my gf is Hungarian and is a Hungarian translator. Despite Roma only being 3% of Hungarians, every translation call she gets every day are Roma who have been arrested, typically drunk, starting fights, breaking into houses, etc. When its not that, its Roma calling to complain that their free house is not nice enough and explaining why they missed the English classes they were required to attend. When its neither of those, its Roma saying something ridiculous like "the ghosts come to my condo to give me a headache". I watched a documentary a good few years ago about this , an under cover journalist followed people like this for over a month documenting them around london . They would pass babies around to hold while begging often the babies where given alcohol to make them sleep and young toddlers taught to hold their hsnd out . Social services would often tell these woman to get the babies off the street but they came back . The journalist followed them to homes with flash cars and often many sharing a house they made thosands a week the lot of them . They are scum and people are now realising what they are never give them a penny .

That is right. They work in groups or families of around 30 people all squatted a couple of houses and told the owner they will leave if he will pay them 50k or 80k. After the transaction they leave and then come back the next day. The homeless used to beg at these spots before the recession but they are chased away or have to pay rent to the families to sit there. The rent is well over 20 euro so not many will do that.

I gave to a few beggars on a weekend trip to Dublin, at first quite generously, but thetevwere so many that I couldn't afford to keep giving as I was on a budget myself. In the end I refused one Romany girl asking for "change" and she spat at me. I no longer give in Dublin.

In the winter of 1980/81, I encountered a traveller lady suckling a new born baby in the freezing rain. I gave her an Irish pound. I was born in Dublin but lived in Australia from the age of two. My uncle, a Dubliner, went off his head and stated that it was people like me that was perpetuating the practice. He emphasised that these people were receiving generous government handouts and they had no need to abuse their children.

I am from the south of England and went to a small town called Sherborne in Dorset. Whilst sat in a cafe I noticed a beggar opposite. His behaviour aroused me. I went across and gave him 50p, just to give me the chance to act compassionate and get some information. I asked where he was from, he said Romania and he'd lost everything etc etc. I returned to the cafe but this time not in eye view. A short while later, he got up and I followed him. In a car park a mini bus turned up, the driver got out took some money of him. They laughed had a cigarette and then the beggar got out his iPhone and was using it... They are nothing more than thieves.
