Arizona really did rise man she was soo classy she didn't fight dirty coz for her as much as she wanted to keep Sophia she knows in her heart that Callie is just equally as good a mom as she is so to her it wasn't about tearing each other down but about not wanting to let go of her daughter and having to live without her.... Callie was so sure she was gonna win so smug I was soo mad at her... this entire episode i admire everything Arizona said and stood for but this part where she said 'those things you let them say about me, I would never do that to you' broke my Calzona heart but I'm als glad she said it... I really agree with you. Arizona has been equal. Everything started because Callie wanted to follow penny and she never thought that maybe Arizona would have not agree with her decision. Callie gave for granted that Sophia could stay and go to nyc with her and she is her mother as well as Arizona. Callie had better witnesses such as Meredith, Owen and others. But she has been unequal and cruel. Arizona choose to be sophia’s mother too. It doesn’t metter if a parents has’t the same DNA of his son. She has been irrespectful also with Meredith that was one of her witnesses since the moment that also Meredith had adopted a son. Sophia was born and grew up in Seattle, she lost also his father, and Callie left his work in Seattle that was better than his work in New York, only because se wanted to follow penny. A lot of times Callie sad that the only reason why she did not let to know Sophia to penny was because Arizona didn’t Agree and that was false because the only reason was that Callie was unsure

What Callie is saying can be translated to: “How the hell did the mere adoptive parent get granted custody of MY child?”, which shows the alarming lack of respect she always had for Arizona. Just for that smugness, she deserved this. I have no doubt that had she been granted full custody, she would’ve completely alienated Arizona from her own family. Yet, despite all of this, Arizona rose above. Forever one of my favorite characters.

I get that sucks if you birthed a child and get into a custody battle and lose, but if you lost the judge clearly thought you were not the most stable and safe enviornment for the child to remain in. If a biological parent is harming their child (this is hypothetical, not about the character) and abusing the child, should they still always be given custody over an adoptive parent? Just because they birthed the child? Birthing a child does not inherantly give someone more rights over someone who adopted the same child.

Who physically gave birth to her is so beyond irrelevant at this point. 🙄 And need you be reminded, Callie gave birth to a dead baby. Sofia was unresponsive, no pulse or heartbeat, not breathing, and medically dead. *Arizona* stepped in and saved her life. Soo which one of them actually brought that baby to life? 🤔

Arizona legally adopted Sophia, so as far as the court/law is concerned they are both equally the parent, it doesn't matter who birthed the child, courts/the law generally DO have a history of favoring the mother/mother who gave birth, but all of that is just more so bias/perception of what is right, legally one does not have any more rights over the child than the other.

I hated this. Callie deserved custody of the child. NOT ARIZONA. All Arizona did was constantly chose to leave and leave and leave for work and do all these procedures that anyone else could've done themselves. Just cause they called her didn't mean she had to leave to them every single time. Plus all the times shed leave her child with Callie or someone else so she could go off and party and have drinking trivia nights with a MARRIED co worker none the less...thats far from what a so called loving mother should be acting. Arizona was not acting in a way a mother should have been acting. Callie always put her child first. Always. And Therefore CALLIE should've been awarded full custody. Plus that child was biologically Callies. She should've been concidered way before Arizona. This was a bad move. And after this I lost all respect for Arizona. Callie deserved better from this. Seeing Callie hurt like that was aweful.
