Bering are at the top of my list for yachts. Overbuilt and tough, they can easily take you around the world, and do not sacrifice comfort in the least. The owner of Bering comes from trawler fishing background, so he knows what is needed to handle rough seas.

I love Bering boats! It really shows that the CEO and owner worked in the Bering Sea fishing and crabbing. Being from Seattle I'm very familiar with the fishing vessels of the Bering sea.

In my opinion Bering Yachts are a very serious company that build a good quality yachts. I would trust to travel around the world on one of their yachts.

It's an upgrade from the classic Bering 65. It almost has the same layout of 65 but definately is a lot roomier. The only downside of 72 is that it cancels the portuguese bridge. But it's a 72 footor with 120T displacement and a bulbous bow, so normally it wouldn't be much bow spray. I prefered this one to the 77. It's still in the owner-operating range while you might need some crew to run the 77.

Hey, this is my favourite yacht: it's on my dream board, top of my goal's list, ....and my screensaver. Love it for it's size, and because it is everything I want to be able to explore the world- and it's a Bering. I just hope the Turkish lira's collapse doesn't affect the costs too much.

What an awesomely narrated piece. You built feeling and emotion into your presentation. I'm a seafaring soul myself, born from days in the US Navy, and before that, a swimming hole back home. I can tell you without a doubt, this video would appeal to even landlubbers with no intention of sharing the salt in our veins. Any memories (those sketches) connected to the wonders of an unadulterated imagination from our youth are powerful enough to move us when the reflection is as pure as the one articulated by the narrator. For the B72, 77, the fuel burn and op costs are similar. Assuming purchase price is not the issue, and manned by a couple... For trans-ocean voyages, bigger is better, so I would choose the B77. For coastal, the B72. For summer fun, the B65. The larger Berings, say the B80, are into the super yachts, so the ownership considerations alter substantially. If world turmoil in 2022 continues long term, with high fuel costs and economic depression, I foresee the demand falling across the board for such yachts, and should hope Bering will survive.

The 77 is badass 😎 and the next model of it won't need generators while underway . It will have enough solar to anchor in silence for days . It will have an optional hybrid electric drive to run in areas where motor boats have been restricted.

hi all i have little experience with going far on boats. But i really like the b70 mostly causs of its lines and the cost upkeep, mostly its fuel consupmtion. But i would like to know what uyou guys think of its and capabalities in hard sea? Since it is rather different from the rest of the lineup. And it is also a bit different from most explorer yachts. Claimed 6000nm range at 9 plus knots. Heavy displacement. Low A/B ratio. Protected props. Would be interested in your take on this expedition yacht, currently for sale out of NZ.

Amazing phantasmagoric explorer. Can you please tell me what you think of a cruising speed of 8 knots. What do you think of a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum of 25 knots for a boat like this. Could the boat handle speeds like that. Would you recommend those speeds at the cost of ar eduction in range. Also Bering yachts are made of steel but what bout aluminium construction. how does that affect a boats performance and stability in really heavy weather. Wouldnt that give you more range as it would be significantly lighter. Thank you for the review

There is no way this yacht could do 15 or 25 knots. It is a full displacement vessel with a max speed of 10 knots and is made to cruise efficiently at 7-8 knots.

True: You should not compare. The Bering stands above. The Fleming and Nordhaven are coastal vessels; short-mid range, made of GRP, what I call recreational vessels. The Bering is blue water, long range, made of steel. I have sailed a Fleming: lovely yacht, but I would not trust my life to it during a North Atlantic or a Cape storm when the waves are 30 metres. I have never heard anybody taking such craft into such storms and surviving. I would have far more assurance with a steel-hulled vessel of the Bering design and specifications. Berings are more ship than yacht.

There are other boats out there able to do 20 or 30 kn case of emergency I love lots of things that this boat offers however if they could improve on this particular matter it’ll be more peeling to other customers!!!

Well since they have discontinued the 65 and the 77 there are not many choices. They have not shown a price or built one so a real walkaround is not possible. I guess smaller yachts are not as profitable. If others can build the 40s and 50 why not Bering. I would much perfer the steel over GRP,

Very nice ship and stunning concept . But my private opinion is that i would never build a ship in turky , the quality of craftmenship you cant compare with yachts from netherlands or german . Turky quality isnt realy on top , the same like chinese trawlers built by nordhaven , as example . But the design is a big number , thats like a trawler have to look .

What do you know about it? German and Dutch yards do build perfect boats...for northern Europe but most of them don't have air conditioning and usually no stabilization because they're built for inland waterways and short passages found there. Nordhavn's are heavily built and well built with the owner participating to whatever degree they choose. Flemings are even better built and compare favorably to anything produced by the teutonic yards. I spent several days aboard a Vicem 92 (Turkish build) and was very impressed with the quality. We encountered some rough weather off the Oregon coast and she wasn't creaking or groaning as we slammed our way through it. We put in at Newport with precarious conditions still prevelant and had plenty of power and control while negotiating the bar crossing. My point is that Yachts are built for different things and what is suitable for one area is not suitable for another.

I think you will find that Bering yachts are built as well as any Dutch or German boats. Strength and seakeeping are at the top of their build demands. If I had the money I’d be seriously interested in a Bering.
