Hey Les big fan of your videos, I have a huge coyote bobcat tournament coming up this Saturday in West Texas. Temp will be around 70 with a Southwest wind of 14 miles per hour. Would you start with some Howell's first or go to a cottontail in distress at that time of day? Thank you for your time sir and best of luck with your future videos.

What is the point of shooting coyotes please clue me
@maxwellmiller9776 жыл бұрын
David Wilson preditor control is necessary. If people like Les didn't hunt coyote, we would be over populated. Cows, chickens, even pets would become food for coyotes.

David Wilson also the pelts can be used for many things and the meat is edible
@rkba49236 жыл бұрын
@ Detours with Frank Skunk meat is edible too. But you're welcome to my share of all skunk and coyote meat, etc. lol
@rkba49236 жыл бұрын
@ David Wilson It's a major challenge and it's sooo much fun. Plus it saves innumerable calves, lambs, fawns and pets. In some parts of the country you can even make a little on the pelts but not where I live so we just leave'em lay.

I shot my first coyote right after I got my drivers license at 16. 40 years later and I still get the adrenaline rush I did then. Each hunt is different and exciting. Coyotes are hard on deer and turkeys in my area so I'm helping to improve that situation. Also I like the challenge, they are very smart and have excellent vision and survival instincts. Their sense of smell is great so if you can call them into shotgun range it is a sense of accomplishment. It's hard work and success rates aren't as easy as the videos make it look. Go call in a fox, bobcat or coyote and I think you will be surprised how much fun you have. I call several a season that I don't even get shots at, still enjoy the heck out of it. Be safe and good luck.

What’s the purpose of coyote hunting? Are you getting paid to kill them? Are they personally affecting your herds? Personally I think it’s a waste of time; no, I’m not a PETA snowflake 🤣 I just don’t get why you’d hunt coyotes.
