I think the thing with Blake is the fact that she’s never truly played a serious role before and I’m assuming where the beef might’ve stemmed from because she probably didn’t wanna focus on the abuse narrative and Justin wanted to tell the story that was supposed to be told.

I related to everything in this episode! I live in South Florida, and I was on the phone with DirectTV customer service and the girl on the other end went quiet and was like “omg” and my husband and I were like is everything okay and she had had an earthquake where she was. She was located in Indonesia and we googled it and they had a high magnitude earthquake! The taking things away or being serious with your words and meaning it is so important! I work at a middle school and threatening the kids with punishment and not following through happens all the time and the kids know it. But if you actually do what you say, they respect you and follow directions. It’s wild what a call home will do!

When I nannied my nephews when they were 2 and 4 it was the first time I was taking them to the zoo and in the car I said if you take off without me we will get back in the car and go home. We got into the zoo and they BOLTED I calmly caught up to them at the first exhibit and walked their asses out of there and said we will try again tomorrow and they NEVER did it again. They were actually so wonderful to nanny. Terrors to their parents but really good for me but that's how I ran that house. Lots of fun but no BS

Yes! People take gentle parenting wayyy too far. It’s wild! My husband and I take pride and get nothing but compliments about how our sons behave. We taught them (like you said) to be aware of what’s going on around them, to be considerate of others and that there are consequences to your actions and we hold them accountable and they are the best 🥹
@robkel90

Yes to the parenting and discipline talk. I had kids at 21 and was very strict with my son... 12 years later I'm now watching friends become parents for the first time. I recently saw my friend give her son empty threats of "if you dont stop we are leaving..." she used this threat a couple times, but her son continued being a little shit because she wasnt leaving. Im literally thinking about offering a 15 minute get together for her to follow through with her parenting threat, where she doesnt feel like shes bailing on our plans, but so that we both know its going to end in a tantrum and her leaving so that her son realizes she means it.😂

I understand it can be frustrating if you need to grab something specific and someone is taking forever to move- but I often find it’s people that are just LOOKING at items and not even grabbing them that do this.
