Did this project get finished? I would love to see it.

I am blessed! Two episodes of CAS in two days!!!! You should put the CAS logo and the name of the model railway on the lid when it’s open

What are the rough dimensions of the box?

Looking good! What's the plan for power? Some 12V (or even 5V) white LED tape would look great in the lid to illuminate the rolling stock. Are you going for internal or external controller? Dependent on track plan, you could wire the layout to a panel mount XLR3 for easy connect and disconnect of a controller

One question ! When the box is closed the rail layout is floating free ? If you have it upside down or side ways the raillayout will float orfall ! Raillayout board at some turn style niple to secure it in side panels of the box !

Indeed, this has not gone unnoticed, I have a plan... but this will come a bit later

Where did you manage to get your hands on that 1980s NLL sign‽ That must be worth a fortune! I managed to buy some ex-London Midland Signs the other day. 1x Way Out Sign and 1x Tickets, Platform 1 and Step Free via Subway sign was an absolute steal at just £35.

Victoria and David found it at a boot sale! Am hoping it’s worth a bit more than what I paid for it now...

@@CallingAllStations It almost certainly would be given that it has the Liverpool Street and Croxley Green lines on them, both now lost to history! I found my signs in an Antiques store in Matlock after hearing about them being on sale there on Twitter.

Great video. Instead of strengthening the hinges maybe you should consider a removable top. A 360 degree view of the layout would be nice. Just a thought. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the rest of this project.

I'd much rather see you actually build this box than just having you tell us what you've built.

Thanks but this is much more time consuming and less enjoyable (for me) to do all the time. Hopefully I’ve given you a bit of both styles over the two episodes.
