If you are too busy to take care of alot of plants one I recommend is a heart leaf philodendron. Also pretty good for oxygen and toxins too. These have proven impossible to kill for me and that's actually pretty impressive.

I love heartleaf philodendrons! Mine gets persnickety because it likes more water than I'm able to give it as I don't visit often, but if you are able to water em more regularly they are super great! 😊

I think I over water plants whenever I do water them for other people. Also, I loved the cacti art that was behind you. Kept on trying to figure out what was written on the small blackboard, but couldn't get it all. You know, Calliope, you could start a separate channel just on plants. My water meter was about 7-8 dollars! I try to let my cacti & succulents dry quite thoroughly and then wait a day or two after to water to make sure they are dry. My chalkboard says, "Suckin' at something is the first step to being kinda good at something. -Jake the Dog" from Adventure Time! I may create another channel but I would heavily prefer to just have one :) thank you Allen! 😊

Touching the Pothos gave me such shivers. I really enjoyed the video, gave me some ideas to test. Maybe the cats will not kill the plants. Are there sprays you can coat these plants in that 'deter' animals but don't harm the plants?

I used to use a spray that we got from a pet store that had bitters & isopropyl alcohol that you spray to deter animals from eating it as it has a horrid taste for them! May want to check out your local pet store 😊

I only have one real plant in my flat and even though I was told it doesn't need much care, it almost died a month ago. But luckily it's recovering right now, when I realized it doesn't just need water but also sunlight :O

Could be literally anything my dude! The biggest problem is of course watering. Water infrequently, when the pot is thoroughly dry, and water deeply when you do until water comes out the drainage holes. If the leaves are real thin or don't feel like there is any juice in them, you are not watering frequently enough or deeply enough. If the leaves get brown and squishy, you are most likely watering too often. You can always take pictures and take them to your local garden center or a plant forum to help you out! 😊

How do I take care of my fiddle fig? 😩 It seems to be growing, but the edges of the leaves are brown and crispy, What are the general guidelines? Thank youuu!

Hiya! Fiddle leaf figs like medium to bright light, best in bright. They tend to get crispy edges when you underwater them or skipped a watering or your humidity is low. Make sure you are watering thoroughly when you do water it, and they like to dry down to about 50-75% of the pot drying when they are bigger, more like 50% when they are in a 6" pot when I take care of them in the greenhouse. They can be finicky though, so don't get discouraged! These also tend to get spidermites so watch for any webbing or tiny mites crawling on it. Hope this helps! :)

When you water anything, you want to water until water comes out of the drainage holes. The only thing I water with misting is teensy tiny seedlings or very small cuttings. If you water little amounts at a time, it is almost like teasing the plants and doesn't encourage the plant to form roots at the bottom of the pot as the water never reaches there. Hope it helps, don't get discouraged! 😊
