You'd notice how it feels like time is moving a lot slower, because you're "honing in on how the time actually passed." Basically, if you weren't thinking of Christmas, you wouldn't think time was going slow. You wouldn't care about the time between now and then, so you'd end up waking up thinking time went very fast! Then again, it could be just remembering that moment, and realising how much has happened between then and now. All the videos, all the other moments. A lot of things happening can translate to a lot of time, even if it really has been a long time since Kevin kicked the baby. That one moment was among hundreds of others!
