Just answering the question, yes you can beat Fallout: New Vegas as a pacifist. Fallout: NV is probably the only game I've played over a dozen times, start to finish, and in one of those playthroughs I didn't kill anyone. The trick is to have high charisma, agility, and intelligence so that you can talk, sneak, or hack your way out of any situation.

You can actually play new vegas and all of the dlcs without killing ( including no companion kills) many a true nerd had an entire series on it. Just goes to show how well designed this game is
