As someone who works in a cafe, customers will absolutely sit down at tables that are still being cleaned / clearly aren’t ready. They will also leave the most absurd messes and objects. I am also now convinced that my manager is related to Kevin somehow (we don’t get lunch breaks, the pay is awful, always forgets to order in the right stuff, people keep quitting and they’re acting confused about it)

I look back at my work in a coffee/waffle house fondly as it was kinda like an extension of my teenage days, no responsibilities, living with 7 random people all smoking weed all day and working with people similar age to mine shooting the shit... until I found an office job as a quasi translator and got a career in sales from that, and tried to bring people from said shop with me. Tried convincing like 10 people, not a single CV received... 5 years later I'm doing like 10% of the work I did there sitting on my ass all day making £60k a year compared to around £12k I did there... and the same people whom I worked with at that same shop still work there, still barely make minimum wage, still don't get enough hours, now got kids and real bills to pay or parents that need help but they're stuck and refuse to move forward with their lives because they think they aren't good enough to do anything else despite the fact that I was like the dumbest motherfucking junkie out of the entire shop... extremely depressing

Hey, napkins are the best multitool I've ever had, they completely saved me and my friend one night while camping. We'd gone into the wilds completely unprepared with only a huge pack of paper napkins, a tiny wood burning camp stove, and some burgers. That night we used the napkins to put the food on the tiny grill top, we used them as cutlery to to flip the food and take it off, we used them as fuel to cook the food, we used them as plates to prepare the food and eat it off, we used them to clean everything from the stove to our fingers, and we even managed to mop up the tears from hysterically laughing at how insane the situation was. Never go anywhere without napkins!

Then have the audacity to complain that their table was dirty. Like buddy, you did not wait by the big red sign in the door way that says “please wait to be seated”, then you saw the only table with plates on it and clearly assumed it was for you, then chose to get mad at the 15 year old waitress who is the only front staff on until 11.30 beautiful you cant find menus and your table isnt ready?!
