As an organization that uses Teams for internal collaboration, zoom for external meetings, what does using one of these solutions end up looking like? Why does it seem everything is either teams room or zoom room, or else just a clunky USB camera that plugs into a normal windows box? Is there a sleek solution like this that works for both platforms?

Hi Kyle! Thanks for watching and for your question. The simple answer is yes. However, it's best to work with a subject matter expert like us (Call One, Inc.) who can help guide you. The innate challenge is that each platform wants to rule the universe. Microsoft initiated the "certification" requirements back when they first introduced Microsoft Office Communicator, which evolved to Lync, Skype for Business, and now Microsoft Teams. Leading device manufacturers work with the platform providers to ensure their solutions meet/exceed the certification requirements. Just about all "Teams Room" and "Zoom Room" devices can be switched; HOWEVER, it requires a reboot. To make it easier, Microsoft introduced Direct Guest Join, which allows you to join 3rd party meetings from a Microsoft Teams Room (currently Zoom and Webex). Zoom Rooms devices allow you to join Teams, Google Meet, and Webex meetings. There are also 3rd party vendors like Inogeni, ClickShare, ScreenBeam, and Airtame who provide solutions that allow you to switch/convert existing Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms to a BYOD space that allows you to use your laptop to join any meeting platform and use the equipment in the space. It is best to speak with experts in this space to provide recommendations. If you are in the US, feel free to contact us! Hi bharat! Can you define "over ear"? Some people say "over ear" to mean a headset like the Yealink BH71 or Poly Voyager 5200. Others define it as a headset with circumaural ear cushions that completely surround/cover your ears like the Yealink BH76 or Jabra Evovel2 85.

That’s the word I’ve heard! So Yes! I will be investing in better mics for these type videos and environments. RODE mics and Shure have been recommended. I was recently at Infocomm 2024 in Las Vegas and I didn’t film due to mics. Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback!
