The US Secret Service is at the center of scrutiny after an assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The rally's security failure has led to calls for the director of the US Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, to resign.
The violent incident was the first time a current or former US president has been wounded in an attempted assassination since Ronald Reagan in 1981.
Cheatle has said she would not resign from her role.

The sloped roof made it worse. The guys on the other roof had more to deal with. There are loads of photos from the Whitehouse with men in them, and its roof at the front is just a stretched V. The building the 20 year old had climbed onto was occupied by the County Beaver armed police. There were police cars parked outside close to the ladder Crooks climbed. Public alerted police about the 20 year old a full 26 minutes before the actual incident. A police officer had climbed onto the roof prior to the incident, but then ckimbed down again (what did he do next?). Several public heard shots coming from direction of water tower. Why were law enforcement seen hosing roof down after incident? Why were law enforcement seen covering all evidence of bullet holes with cement? So many unanswered questions...

Why would Biden fire her? He hired her, and she did what he wanted, nothing, so she cant be fired because then she would tell everyone who gave the order to allow this, if not plan it.

Interesting how this 'impartial' BBC journalist starts their report of Trump being shot with subtle criticisms of his character. I will be honest and say I do not watch a lot of BBC content, but I wonder if the BBC is equally critical of other political figures?
