Vance says Kamala Harris "can go to hell" after question about Trump incident at Arlington

Donald Trump's running mate, JD Vance, said Kamala Harris could "go to hell" in response to a reporter's question about an incident earlier this week between Trump's campaign staff and officials at Arlington National Cemetery. Harris hasn't commented on the incident. CBS News campaign reporter Jake Rosen has more.

This man, who's lost several of his brothers and sisters in arms, got upset over an alleged comment, and immediately, you assume that makes him less qualified? Your candidate's entire campaign is built upon "joy, thoughtfulness, emotion" Etc, but he's not allowed to be upset about the blatant disrespect from the left? Think about what actually happened. Playing devils advocate, whether she said it or not, is irrelevant. Yes, he could've looked more into it before accusing her of saying that, but the message is still clear- we need a leader that cares enough to be upset about those devastating losses who stands up to those who try to knock us down for caring. There are people on the left villainizing him for caring enough to be upset in the first place. Imagine that was your husband, wife, son, daughter, or friend who died in that attack; would you appreciate the previous CIC of your country to take time out of his extremely busy schedule to pay his respects? Then, think about how much that cost the CIC politically in his campaign to take the time to do that. If I were in that position, I know for a FACT I'd want a leader who speaks out against that type of disrespect after I lost the ones I loved and cared about. The Orange Man knew it would be bad publicity for him, but he didn't care - he wanted to show his deep appreciation for their sacrifice and what was lost on that day.

I am European watching the politics in the US from the outside and honestly the gaslighting the media does is the thing that is unacceptable. Breaking it down simply: Trump, Biden, and Harris were invited to Arlington. Trump showed up & showed his respects, as he has done many times in the past. Which was nice. Biden & Harris didn’t bother to show. That looked bad. So the left media began deflecting onto Trump trying to villainise his motives for being there. They hyper focused on him, as they seem to do often, instead of focusing on what actually mattered, (which is the families and the fallen) - a real shame… Then Kamala posted a very long X post ranting about Trump and it received a lot of backlash because it was perceived as very insensitive and offensive to the families of the fallen soldiers. Vance then responded emotionally to that post. Then the media vilify him. Classic gaslighting, where you manipulate and lie to get a rise out of someone and then call them crazy when they get emotional over it. It’s like America is in an abusive relationship with itself.
