I think the parrot thing started around season 7? It was around the time they added parrots to Minecraft and Grian started collecting them and referring to them as "pesky bird" and thus people decided he was a parrot man!

I really like your design for joel! im not sure if it's intentional, but it's cool that it shows a lot of similarities to an oni, since he's been doing a lot of japanese inspired builds in season 10 so far, so the resemblance to an oni is really cool.

In many AUs, people have adopted the fact that grian is a parrot or some tropical bird. You may also recognize the saying "Pesky bird" in reference to grian being mischievous. Though in most AUs, he just has wings and not extra features like the tail, ear feathers, and bird talon hands. Sorry if this isn't the best explanation. 😅
