General Guide based on transcript ⬇️ Protected Time: Designating specific times each week for important activities, such as writing or exercise, that should not be interrupted. Daily Themes: Assigning particular focuses to different days of the week, like having no meetings on Mondays to allow for deep work or designating certain days for specific roles or tasks. Regular Rules and Limits: Establishing consistent practices or boundaries to manage time effectively, such as limiting the number of meetings in a day or scheduling lighter workdays. Categories and Bullet Points: Organizing the weekly template in a clear format, often as a bulleted list, that outlines the elements of an ideal week.

No. The fourth is autopilot scheduling, bruhh. The categories/bullet points thing is not a category in the template … it’s the FORM of the template. ❤

I just wanted to say that the question and answer at 42:30 was one of the best moments on the podcast in a long time. It’s refreshing to hear questions from people who are genuinely struggling, like those who have lost their jobs, and to see Cal respond with empathy and practical advice. These kinds of questions-from people facing tough challenges, starting their careers, or coming from less privileged backgrounds-can have a much broader impact than those from individuals already in high-earning positions. Just some honest feedback: I hope Cal and Jessie see this. Focusing on these types of questions could truly make a difference and help those who need it most

Honestly finding you has been the biggest blessing in my LIFE lately 😅 As an almost 30 year old who has never planned a thing I in her LIFE finding your work feels like I've finally found peace as well as the antidote to my wildly chaotic existence haha PLANNING AND STRUCTURE! Wow Im really starting out as a major rookie in the concept of planning at all and I can't thank you enough for making this so comprehendible and easy to understand 🙏🏽😭 Currently listening to "So good they can't ignore you" on my daily mid workday beach walks and it's creating a massive shift in the way I approach my work, business & skills. Big, big thank you for your work in the world my friend. Its greatly appreciated. I can't WAIT to build my weekly template now that i'm getting clear on my deep life structure ahh sigh of so much relief lol 💫💪🏽

I have known of Cal Newport for one month now. And it goes to show his slow productivity style, and his excellent content, that he did not post any podcast for 2 weeks, but I kept checking for the latest podcast multiple times a week.

The timing of this episode is immaculate! I unexpectedly was given a huge work opportunity last week that had been very vague for a couple of months so, as to not get my hopes up, I didn't account for it in my September planning. And now since it's suddenly been decided, it's one more thing on my plate and I totally froze for a couple of days, not knowing how to fit it in best

Most content is repetitive and forgettable, regardless of subject matter. We like regular messages and reminders.

What I find amazing is how they don't lose their minds saying the same things over and over, ad infinitum. I can't imagine myself talking about one single topic week after week - the monotony would drive me mad. I'm saying all this despite being a huge Cal fan. Nothing but respect.

How did your friend manage to land a job in Silicon Valley after just one year of studying? That seems like such a unique, persuasive, and rare case in history. It's inspiring, but honestly, it feels a bit unrealistic. For most of us, making real progress takes much more time. I can't help but feel some disbelief about the things you've shared in your book...😢😢😢

The videos are not engaging enough. Can't you hire a professional video editor and animator to make your content more engaged like Ali Abdaal.
@nitin_puranik3 ай бұрын
Nope, sorry this is good. Cal's crowd isn't the type that requires the sensory overload that your typical KZbin consumer craves. Ali Abdaal's viewers aren't looking for deep advice, they're looking for shiny animations making up for generic, superficial advice
