Calpha Solar 5KW Inverter Mobile App

In this video I look at the Calpha Solar 5KW Inverter that I have powering my Delta Pros and Smart Home Panel. I'm specifically reviewing the Calpha Solar Mobile App and wifi dongle that pair with the inverter. Compared to my Eg4 3KW Inverter, the Calpha Solar is definitely easier to setup and the mobile app was pretty smooth to connect and get some of the vital information. The reporting/analytics didn't seem to work correctly even though I've been running the inverter for several months now but that's not as critical. The big thing is that it shows input voltage and amperage, something that not even my Ecoflow app or Delta Pros do. Something some fundamental you'd think would be there!
Overall, still loving the Calpha Solar 5KW inverter and its been working day in and day out powering my delta pro.

Sounds exactly like my use case that we've discussed before where I"m using a sungold 6000w inverter/charger to do basically the same thing and I have my sun gold directly connected to my 48v batteries and the inverter charges the DP's up. One other way to do this is to just connect one end of the 48v barrel via XT60i and one end to the DP. It will only charge to 800w but that might be enough to keep it constantly topped off? Since I run the SHP, it makes it tough because you can't charge via a/c with the infinity cable plugged in and have to remove it so you're left with the "solar" input only.

I've been eyeing it for a little while. Right now the 5K is working really well, I think my next selection needs to be more batteries vs a bigger inverter. But never say never. :)

I wonder if this app is any different and capable than smartESS that is used for most of these clone inverters (rebranded actually). No android version on playstore

If you're using the iOS App store, just search for Calpha. The first result that I got was myCalpha. That's the app. The pairing process was pretty seamless for me.
