I thoroughly agree. 6 years after this video posted, when I watch it tears still come to my eyes. And, let's not forget that Calum's stunning musical sensibility and technical talent play a huge role in making this piece what it is. I've heard numerous covers of it that are posted on KZbin and while admirable, not one of them matches the way that Calum's playing breathes life and color into the music, eliciting that emotional response (from me, anyway) that none others do. Not to get all star-struck or anything, but I do think Calum is a once-in-a-generation guitarist, composer, and musician. Like Michael Hedges was in his day.

I listened to this a few days ago, never thinking I'd have to say goodbye to anybody just yet. I couldn't foresee my cat of roughly four years dying by heart attack not too long after. This is a beautiful work that makes me reflect on the best times I've had with him, as seemingly brief and as long as 4 years can be with my fuzzy little partner in crime. Thank you for making this and sharing it. =')

Sorry to hear about the loss of your fur baby (furby). I lost my dog a few years ago to old age. Your post got me thinking about her. It's like a your heart being ripped from your chest when they pass away. She came into my life when she was 2. She became My best friend. She was 15 when she passed away. She is currently my last furby. I'm unable to afford another but how I would love to have another dog. I like cats too. I wouldn't throw away a chance to have a cat. I like most animals.

Holy crap. What a beautiful song. Made me tear up a little. My uncle just passed and it made me think of him. Thank you for that. Out of all the finger style guitars I listen you have the most "soul" in your music. Andy, Don, and Antoine are still amazing and I just don't get the same bewildered feeling when I watch them play. You have something special. Keep up the great work.
