Watching these videos has been an education for me..since your recent accident Calum I subscribed to your channel and went through all the videos you posted.. had no idea how many devastating injuries you suffered.. watching the grueling videos posted during your comeback was hard to do as you certainly suffered a lot of pain and frustration yet you never quit.. you came back better than ever..was good to see this and such an inspiration you are to everyone who watched..never knew before how difficult and demanding the sport of body building was until I watched these videos.. now have great respect for this sport and even greater respect for you.. all the way through these your wonderful personality drew people to you.. no matter how much you were hurting you always smiled and were considerate to those around you..in my opinion you are a truly beautiful man inside and out..you have a magnificent physique and a truly kind and gentle soul..I cried a lot watching these because of your bravery and courage making these when you didn’t know what was going to happen.. you were so honest with everyone and did these to help others with injuries to help them stay focused on their recovery and not give up..have been praying for you and your family since you were in ICU and so thankful to hear you are now recovering from your back surgery and in stable condition.. will continue to pray for you Calum.. that you will recover fully and your life will be filled with happiness and peace..May God Bless you and your family and keep you safe always from a new fan who’ll be a fan forever💙🙏💙

Best of luck in your recovery , I'm a competitive powerlifter & I got a serious injury few years ago that I had no control over , nerve damage in my neck due to disc pressing against a nerve & caused muscle to disappear from my right chest & right arm , I went from bench pressing 160 kgs to 60 kgs overnight my body weight was 80 kgs , this really sucked for someone that goes to lift weights 5 days a week I've been doing it for 29 years now but anyway so I trained away as best I could but it took 4 years for the strength to come back but it did come back to say 95 % , stick with it & be determined you will do it, just seen you in generation iron 2 on Netflix didn't know of u before now , keep going & look forward to see you back as good as ever , cheers from Ireland

BRAVO..!! I see a humbler and more mature Calum here, who WILL be better than ever before, once recovered. Calum, I'm the fella who's had 2 QTRs, ten years apart. I'm just now into month 8 of my right leg event. YOU are with much better physio-folks now. And rightly, YOU are fully focused on ROM. Continue as you are doing .. push the range work and make sure to push through any scar tissue issues (my 1st time involved a 2nd surgery, this time I punched through via a CPM machine). Whatever it takes Calum, get it to stationary bike-work range (s/a 105 degrees). If you get stuck s/a 80 at 4 months out, consider orthoscopic surgery OR working the CPM several days a week. At 115-120 degrees, get into the whirlpool and cold-pool work .. back and forth (get agressive then) .. work the ROM until you feel like you own the leg again (s/a 8 months from injury date), and then isometric it like crazy in both venues. Reset, retrain, daily. YOU will never be the same after this ugly occurence. But, YOU WILL be a better person for the experience ..!! Semper fi, Calum..!!

Hell yeah brother. I tore my acl and meniscus last year in late October. It’s a huge set back and makes you feel depressed cause you feel like a huge failure. Like all the hard work you put in was for nothing. I got it reconstructed 8 months ago and honestly it feels the same but it isn’t the same since my left leg looks so much smaller and so much different now. Takes time to heal up but with faith in God to make me better and push me harder. I’m slowly coming back to my old training regimens and etc

Power of positivity and speak it into existence. The concept of having something from nothing is even more real now. Can only appreciate what you have until it becomes something you had. Your vlogs are mad chill homie . Big bless up to you and yours , because of you and a few others in the industry . I started a clothing company, a webisode , and got a job. Always keep busy is what you said. I took this full year off from any kind of weight training and just enjoyed food and hanging out... just to see if I’ll miss the gym . Turns out I’m glad I got a secondary income to help fund the process. Thank you again for the content. Peace peace later days.

Hey Cal, I am 1 year back in the gym after a 1 year recovery from a collar bone injury. You know I wasn't sure if I would ever hit the weights again, especially after loosing almost all that I worked a decade to get. And then an old friend moved back in town, one day dragged me to the local gym. You know I was sooooo friggin nervous. But, once I put my headphones on and the moment I touch the bar, it was on! Like I said 1 year back in the gym and I'm bigger and leaner but, not as strong yet. Especially overhead press I am still seeing the numbers go up. But it feels great again to have my chest so sore or my legs so sore or my lats or my shoulders so sore that I can't keep my arms down at my sides or can't walk normal. So man don't discourage, you'll be alright.

I’m going through this. This is the worst feeling ever. I injured my a tendon in my scapula doing squats with heavy weight when I was 17 and I haven’t been able to lift weights or box for 2 years now. I have numbness in my index and thumb from trying to hit the heavy bag in training and i haven’t gone back since then. I sharp pain runs along my shoulder down my arm and my biceps can’t flex. I don’t know what to do anymore. Worst of the matter is, I dont have health insurance because I’m part time as a teacher assistant since I’m going to school, and my parents can’t afford the premiums. I haven’t been training and I’m fighting this alone, I don’t know what do anymore. I’m 20 years old and I feel like I will never be able to do what I love again, which is boxing and working out. God bless
