Props for the new setup. For the big open room. You still retain intimity with good camera angle closeups. And surprisingly clean no echo audio. How the guest feel about that big open space? Doesnt it feel weird for such an intimite conversation to sit in middle of big space. Also the tablet kind of putting the block between you and guest. Maybe it feels different in person but from this point of view it seems little off putting. Please dont look at this as trying to be harsh or dissing your work. Quite opposite. Im saying it from the place that I love what you do and just giving my honest opinion.

@@AtilakusGreat comment. Legitimately what comments should be. I agree with the tablet to be honest, it does seem like a bit of a wall or block. Putting it just to the side to check notes or questions would probably make a massive difference to not have anything in between them and the guest. Personally though, I like the big room a lot, I think it’s very inspiring and can help encourage great thought.

I sorta love that Chris and Chris had the courage to couch this "health" discussion within the framework of the decidedly risky things that are integral to bodybuilding at this level. Because let's face it, despite looking like pictures of health, bodybuilders at this level are doing a fair number of internally unhealthy things (e.g. risky things in terms of long term health effects) to achieve an external aesthetic goal. The dedication is impressive....as are the results....but it serves no-one to pretend it's not a high risk game they play.

Great to hear Chris & Chris hash out some of these drug related issues. If you ever listen to interviews with Dorian or even Arnie (from a few years ago), they all are huge proponents for min-maxing when it comes to drugs. @C.Valdor
@C.Valdor Жыл бұрын
@edwardburroughs1489 there is a very good argument for TRT or cruise dose of testosterone actually having a positive impact longterm compared to not being on and being in mid or lower levels of natural test levels. There are a bunch of studies showing TRT lowers all cause mortality, adds on about 10 years to average male lifespans. Then you have the cruise small cycle dose that's puts you around 2000ng/dl testosterone level, longterm this can work and actually have a great impact as long as ur bloodwork is improving and you have no sides. It's a complicated issue but there are alot of reasons to go on besides just competing

@@nateo200I think you are under estimated how big Cbum is. I've met him twice.. Chatted once. And trained in the same area 3x. I was 6'4 330lbs at the time and he was offseason mode... Cruising on 400mg test per week and 50mg per day Proviron and he looked pretty impressive at the beginning of the session. But as his delts and chest filled with blood... He seemingly tripled in size. That's the difference between a lot of these guys. Especially the guys who train with more volume and or more insulin/pump style training. They transform in front of you.. It's incredible

I used to look at dudes in the gym with the most mass and think that was the ideal aesthetic. After learning about how closely cardiorespiratory fitness is correlated with longevity that same physique looks imbalanced to me. Athletic physiques with plenty of muscle but also lean enough to be well conditioned seems more fit, and huge dudes just seem silly and neglectful.

Cardio drops off alot faster than stregnth i've heard some studies show elderly people cardio can reset to baseline after just two weeks without training

I suppose this the most important thing CBUM says when he states that the weight limit simply does not make it necessary to take every sh*t in maximum dose in comparison to an "open" bodybuilder - You have to work harder and I think that is the limiting factor in the mindset of many competitors.

Serious question: if they test you to be able to participate in these competitions and you have to be clean, how come they can so openly talk about the use of these substances? I mean, wouldn't their titles be revoked as soon as they admit that they were enhanced? what's the whole point of testing, if the guys that are being tested are widely known to have used these things?

Why did the order his sister took the blame for have enough tren for two people to use for prep as well as masteron winstrol anavar and other shit I know her husband Iain competes in open bodybuilding but unless he was using over a gram of tren himself there’s no other explanation for that much tren it was definitely an order for iain and Chris especially because it came in a couple weeks out from the Olympia but she took the heat all of these guys lie out the ass just like he’s only on 500 test and 300 deca and that’s it and continues to put on size but all the other pros take 2-3 grams total and say if they put on 5 pounds of stage weight in a year that it would be a miracle even with all the shit they take

This is the info that needs to be out there for up and comers. Just because some things work doesn't mean it's worth it, and even when it works it doesn't mean it will put you on the level of CBUM and his contemporaries. The tren twins are jacked but they'll be dead by 30-35 if they keep going like they are. Maybe that's worth it to them but the piper needs payment and he may come asking right when you least expect it, or want it.

The way you asked the question at the beginning enlighten how crazy bodybuilding have become. From being a symbol of health from Eugene Sandow to Arnold, it now is obviously *surprising* (!!!) to see a very health conscious Mr Olympia... a very health conscious world champion athlete in his sport. Just think about it. The fact that most bodybuilders at that level - or any level - as much less health conscious, or even to not care at all, is absolute madness.

I'm just at the start of bodybuilding but I'm already noticing how taxing it is to the body to train with extreme intensity (beyond failure etc, I'm natural so I gotta work extra hard I guess), it's almost impossible to have a full student plus work life on top... But when I ask myself the questions "do you want an average body and live long or do you want maximum performance now?" I'll say second. So I don't think I'll dial back for now. Nevertheless, no gear ever!

I was considering hopping on TRT when I went to Thailand. Got my T levels checked at a Mens Health Clinic (hormone test cause i'm on Accutane medication and wanted to check my bloodwork) and My T levels had increased since i previously checked them 3 months prior. Doc said there was no reason to hop on TRT at my age unless I wanted to become a bodybuilder so natty we stay. I just wanted to recover faster and build muscle at a more rapid pace, but committing to a PED when I'm already a healthy young man isn't worth it.

Just a tip about bloodwork: Taking a random test like that is just a snapshot of your values at THAT very moment. There's a lot of things that can effect your test levels....sleep, food, time of day etc. It can vary between high and low on a single day depending on different factors. People who do TRT needs to do several tests consistently to see if test levels are within range over a certain time. Would be a waste if you had "low" test just because you had a bad night sleep and ate like crap.
