Just the same as Dustin isn't a normal run of the mill fighter. The only way Dustin wins is a choke or peppering Brian, jujitsu works ....barely, for the simple fact Brian is just that damn strong. It's gonna take Dustin's entire body to move Brian's arm, notice I said arm and not arms. If it was a normal big guy sure jujitsu works as normal but not against someone like Brian. If he's actually trying to hurt you, your best bet is to simply not let him grab you cause whatever happens after is no longer in your control. In a competition setting Dustin wins all day, in a real world situation, well....pain without love.

@@Septoneien dude, im not sure if u watch fighting but theirs fight with one small muay thai guy smashing people ten times larger than him. it means nothing in fighting. his just big, slow and easily tireable. in a real world situation it would be dustin the fighter who would sm4sh him, one kick to the head or puch to the face and ur down. especailly because guys like brian have weak jaws. i know.u lift weights and think this is going to make u a good fighter, but this is not true at all. run, running is more important to be a good fighter.

@@Septoneien the dude is delusional. He doesn’t respect weight lifters, when clearly Dustin does. Dustin was breathing real heavy after working to get out from under Brian, and couldn’t execute an arm triangle due to his size, he switched to armbar. I am a BJJ / Muay Thai guy practitioner, but even a black belts technique does start to break when you can’t even get your arms and legs around someone. FM has never seen a wrestler shoot in on someone twice their size, get lifted and smashed into concrete.

Size becomes a liability after a certain point. He would lack the speed, explosiveness, and stamina that are necessary to succeed in any combat sport. You just can't be combat efficient with a body that large and thick. Striking favours leaner body types and grappling requires flexibility and stamina, both of which are negatively correlated with size. IMO there's a sweet spot at around 230 pounds beyond which the disadvantages of getting larger start to outweigh the benefits.

You guys seem to know shit about fighting... It's the impact when the head hits something hard like concrete or something edgy like a curbstone that CAN POTENTIALLY kill someone. That punch can be delivered by an averaged sized man too. 20 years ago WWE wrestler Big Show punched a guy once who was messing with him. You can see the footage online. The guy definitely went down, maybe even knocked out, but he wasn't dead or damaged.

I don't watch any other sports, because honestly the other people in other sports are not spiritual people. Fighters are very spiritual, they are thinkers, and philosophers. You have to be a deep thinker, to win championship fights. And also, Justin Gaethje, Rose Namajunas, George St. Pierre, and Jared Cannonier. You can tell they think way beyond fighting.
