Funny how he uses the Greek translation and not Aramaic. He gave Peter the name Petros because it is masculine and he couldn’t call a big burly fisherman Petra. In Aramaic rock means rock there is no tiny pebble big stone analogy there. You’re a liar and a deceiver. Also in a jewish context The keys are always a symbol of authority. It is a direct in reference to Isaiah 22 when the Prime Minister receiving David’s keys had the authority over David’s kingdom.

Jesus didn't speak in Greek. He spoke in Aramaic, and the word "Rock," is "Cephas," and that's St. Peter's name. Jesus has built the Church upon St. Peter -- not his confession. This Pastor is a wonderful man, but he's wrong on this teaching.
