‘If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.’ 1 Corinthians 3:15 Salvation is a gift. His blood washes away our sins because of His grace. (Rom. 5:18, Eph. 1:7) Even if all our works are burned up, we will still be spiritually saved. (1 Cor. 3:15) That’s because no one is saved by performing good works. If salvation could be earned, then Jesus’ death would be meaningless. (Eph. 2:8) The judging of our works is another story. (Rev. 11:18) The reality is our sins, although forgiven, color our works. At the judgment seat all works of the flesh will burn up. Can you imagine the loss we will feel as we watch our selfish works burn up in His presence?

God has prepared good works for us to walk in. From the moment we are saved until we go to be with our Lord, every good work done for the glory of God will be rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ. (Eph. 2:10, 1 Cor. 3:11-15, 2 Cor. 5:10-11) It doesn’t matter if man recognizes our works; God does. This is a huge encouragement for us to seek after the mind of Christ. Today, there are many striving after the approval of their pastor, their family, and their friends. Countless others are hopelessly paralyzed by what their peers might think. The lust for such approval, coupled with the fear of man, is so crippling. The evil influence by deceiving spirits in these two strongholds can make us do things we would never do. As believers, we should never allow ourselves to be trapped into coveting the endorsement of man. Such approval means nothing to God. (Jam. 4:4, Gal. 1:10)

Pray to Jesus Christ. Confess your sins to God and repent of all of your sins. Ask Jesus to forgive your for all your sins and be honest. We must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. We must be born again.

Screwed in what way? Don’t confuse doing good works with salvation. Any believer in Christ is already doing good works with the help of the Spirit. I think we’ll be surprised about some of the things we are rewarded for because we weren’t aware of them; we just did them out of love for Christ. So don’t beat yourself up and don’t make the mistake of thinking that actively living for Christ will earn eternal life. In fact, faith and good works increase not from trying harder but from understanding what Christ did for us. The rest follow naturally. Please heed this advice; getting into the spiral you seem to be entering will only lead to despair and possibly endanger your faith.

I felt the same way many times. I felt confused during those last 18 months. I was angry at God when I felt that He took my uncle, a righteous man and killed him. My uncle died from covid last year. I felt it was so unfair and unjust. But I came to my senses and realised that I spoke things about God that were not right. I had become ignorant of His ways. I did not really know God as I thought. I have to start all over again and re-educate myself to God afresh. Still, life can be unfair, especially when you see wicked and evil people prosper and do well. But God is in control and will sort it all out. He will judge rightly.

Does anybody else read 1 Cor. 3 as teachers laying the foundation of Christ in the hearts of men/women, but that those who heard/received don't all endure the fires, the trials, and in the day when we labour (not the night when we labour no more) it will be manifest in the church, yet the teacher, himself, who taught, shall be saved? It seems to echo the parable of the sower and the seed.

I felt that I was finished at the Judgement seat of Christ. I Have not rejoice when I've been reviled and persecuted by people on the job.😒 I've had some real choice words that I've said under my breath or behind closed doors. Jesus please forgive me me for my outrage against those who've persecuted me. 😣 I found it unbearable, and still tell them about Jesus, in my miserable situation. I love Jesus so much.😑 Was in an unequally yoked marriage for twenty five years, wife cheated on me constantly, had to children out the marriage, when they came of age I got a divorce, remarried, tried to reconcile my relationship with my with my two daughters, but have failed to reconnect with them. What is Christ going to do with a loser of family relationships like me?

Try to forgive them, and yourself. Try to find something daily that brings you joy. Then pray for those who hurt you to find joy also. And most important love yourself b/c Jesus cares and loved you enough to die for you. I Cor 3:9 "For we are labourers together with God:ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building" Two distinct groups. Paul and Apollos are 'we', the Corinthian audience are 'ye'. Paul has laid the foundation, and another (Apollos) buildeth thereon; with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble. The builders' work is being tried by fire, not the husbandry. It's not a commentary that supports a Bema seat judgement for rank and file converts.

The Judgment Seat of Christ will not be about our sins. It will be about what we did or did not do for the Lord on earth. We gonna receive rewards for the good deeds we did, and lose rewards because of what we didn't do. Remember that Christ paid for our sins and God promised to never look at it again. Our sins will never be revealed, but our laziness will.

They are 2 different things. Like a family. All the sons have the life of the dad. They are "saved" in the sense that they are children, were born from their dad. In like manner those who were born of God. But not all the sons are going to receive the dad's inheritance. Some more, some less, some none. But these rewards and discipline in the Bible are for the time during the millennial kingdom.

I would caution all those who preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be careful with your words and with your understanding. What Jesus has promised He will never take away! When I turned to Him and received His salvation, this is my reward: I shall dwell in the house of the Lord, forever... His promise! There will be no loss for me. His grace is sufficient to my salvation and my eternal life. ("For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8) He shall change me in the twinkling of an eye to be holy and acceptable in His sight. I believe that there are many christians who claim to believe but have believed in vain...John says they were withus but they left for they were not of us. there are examples of the new testament mentioning that some believed the gospel but they were not given the Holy Spirit. their hearts were not right and only Jesus can give us a new heart through repentence and believing in the Son of God who is Lord and Savior who is the gospel of peace the Living Word the way the truth and the life . can one fall away from him, of course the bible calls it the apostasy, the falling away! he will never leave us but being free will creatures we can leave him just like adam and eve didin the Garden, through disobedience and free will

nita pires Thankyou for your response & i am happy i have some affirmation from you.Regarding can Christ be in a beleiver but a beleiver not be in Him? ...Iv often thought YES ....& really it relates to what i was saying about getting out of the boat ..... i received Jesus later in life & even though i have been given grace i have had trouble being obedient to understanding obedience regarding flesh & spirit .SO it HAS been a Big problem for me....i.e....IF a massive for ME problem needs overcoming through " obedience" that i agree with ...& what SOME people maybe would say...JUST do it ...OR .....take a LEAP of Faith ..( possibly theyve never had a problem with THIS one?)...It can feel quite harsh ESPECIALLY if a person has a hangover from the natural mind habit set that sees the interconnectedness of situations quite intensly ...So THEREFORE a leap of Faith IS like giving up your whole life ( The "act" of REALITY of the willingness:).)...yet life on earth STILL needing attention at the SAME time! & it can be scary...with the potential of doublemindedness or procrastination .THEN they may say but The Lord is WITH you .....YET ....with Peter ...The Lord APPEARED to be OVER THERE ! Then arguing with myself about the gap .....I have been pushed by my fear & trembling ( i think ) onto the edge of the boat & jumped ( with no obvious guarantee about one big issue regarding a situation & walked..... so He MUST have been WITH me & i must have been IN Him......Yet ....about 6 months previous The Lord had made it Clear in a calm, matter of fact " whisper" ....But theres MORE to overcome ....So lately ....regarding THIS subject i have been attempting to take a step at a time as much as i remember & a thought & a prayer at a time as i go about lifes tasks &resist not to THINK or imagine about the finished " result" . What are your views on past failures AFTER receiving Christ Jesus in spiritual immaturity even though the the intellegence accuses that a person SHOULD have done better... ....ALSO fear & trembling unto obedience vs fear & trembling unto condemnation & possible temptation to self defend / justify which isnt a good idea....maybe a good description LIKE the paralized man ...that couldnt even stand UP. ....Regarding beleiving in vain ...would you say that it is when people DO beleive in even everything Jesus SAYS but again ....not letting God IN His Word draw them to HIM into a situation that AGAIN is like needing to walk on water ....?Therefore they may be. .not IN Christ who IS MORE than able ....Even though we on our own can do NOTHING... Do you beleive that KNOWING Him Better enables the water walking OR the water walking helps us know Him better ....or is the risk of SINKING True Faith ....? its a walk and salvation is a moment in time, after repenting and believing on the free gift of salvation through believing on his death burial and resurrection: Rom_10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. at this moment we are given the gift of the new birth. we are redeemed justified and back in relation with the father through faith in the Son and his Gospel.our walk as baby christians comRomans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.at this moment we are sealed with the promise. our walk as the new man co mmences. an inner transformation takes place daily. Sin will happen for we are still in this flesh but and as we fall short and sin and we will he is faithful to forgive us and through repentence his blood washes us clean. as we grow through knowing the word (truth) we are being conformed to his image(JESUS) through the work of the Holy Spirit; this process is called SANCTIFICATION of the Soul (daily process). the bible states that if we love him we will do his commandments. 3 royal commandments of love.: love God with all your heart strength and soul, love your brother and sisters in Christ as Christ loves his bride and love your neighbor as yourself.this is a transformation of our Heart. we are the light and the salt of the earth and we are called to walk as such so that others can see Christ (truth) in us. if we are dead through the cross(old nature) then we are alive through him (new spirit). what he accomplished for us through the cross and the shedding of his blood redeems us from death(sin) and the power of satan(spiritual father) whom we served consciously or unconsciously before being born again of Spirit.he . Bible says we are to worship God in spirit and truth. who is truth, Christ Jesus, he is the way (commandments) and the LIFE .....when we walk with him as his sheep and him as shepard then are we IN HIM. can we be saved without serving yes you are saved from hell but you will not reign in his Kingdom. we live in the generation of the fig tree(1948 israel as a country) this is the generation that will see the return of Christ this is the time of deception and apostacy and many who are not IN HIM don"t know him and they will die Spiritualy when antichrist comes claiming to be Jesus. many christians will worship him thinking he is Jesus. we must know the truth(Jesus) for only then can we be protected from the deception. many christians will hear those words depart from me you workers of iniquity i never knew you. that is a terrifying thought.
