Jacob did not deserve the blessing, he did not work for it. It is through grace he got the blessing. Just like our good works don’t get us save it’s through Grace

Wonderful! I love listening to your sermons before I teach on that topic. I’m teaching through Genesis now, and after I’ve done my research, I love listening to you and a couple others bring it all home. It keeps me from getting lost in the details that deep dives can sometimes do. God has blessed you as a pastor, and He has blessed us with access to your sermons across the world- even down here in Florida!

Wow! I never really thought about how fun it would be to learn of these stories. That was a highlight. The rage that Esau had and God giving him time to chill.

This was powerful! Shows the limitation of your parents….they can only do so much for you and yet they can cause so much destruction for your path ahead. Trust God and respect/honor your parents …but trust God!

I really enjoyed listening to your commentary. What led me to this video was my own reflection on the passage and so I wanted to hear other people’s perspectives as revealed by the Lord. I think the aspect where Jacob answered Isaac that because the Lord your God gave me success…I sense that answer was more prophetic than malicious. In other words, God’s own predestined blessing has brought it to me.

lol, Jacob’s the guy who likes to sit around making Bundt cakes. I really like this message. I’d always seen Isaac as the wounded party, but this is exactly right…it all started with Isaac trying to go against the Lord’s will. And Rebecca could have done the right thing and respectfully reminded her husband of that.

It's my understanding that Isaac was not aware. As Rebekah was only informed by personal revelation in Genesis 25:22-23. If this was a personal revelation with God, she would not have told Isaac. Could you please confirm?

maybe Isaac knew not what God told his wife and as you know a woman is an ocean of secrets, she kept for her self , getting determination of saying " may the curse be upon me"
