Talking of influence... Had to give up my corporate life , 7 yrs back, to dwell under the influence of God's words. Corporate life can draw one away from God if one is not strong in Him. Abba Father , in complete agreement with this message according to 2 kings 11-12 I renounce ungodly motivations and motivators in my life, praying for godly people in my life. I ask the Lord to keep me strong in the word, while being in the world but not of the world. Thank you Lord almighthy! I truly truly thank you Pastor, for helping me understand 2-kings 11:1-21 & 2- chronicles 24:1-27. This is my first time ever seeing and hearing you teach. I will listen to other subjects from you again. I have been challenging myself to learn Bible scriptures. I am up to 70 scriptures now. And each one I learn about, I read the whole chapter for a full understanding of the scripture I learn. And sometimes I just don't understand clearly what I just read. So I go online, and find teacher's or one of my favorite teacher's Pastor Tony Evans, to get a better understanding of the scriptures. In looking for help, I ran across you. Thank you Pastor Paul. I am following your teaching to understand the Old Testament. I got a question, Eventhough Athalia killed all the prince and princess. But couldnot killed Joash who was her own grandson. Does that mean that King Joash was the lineage of king David and King Ahab and Isabel too? ( because Athalia was the daughter of King Ahab who was in turn the grandmother of Joash)

I have a question. If God said he was going to wipe out all male descendants of Ahab, technically, doesn’t Joash count.

I think it is because 1 Kings 21:21 and 2 Kings 9:8 say “I will eliminate all of Ahab’s males, both slave and free, in Israel.” Joash was in Judah.
