This message took some time to get rolling. But when it did, it was good. Thanks for posting Calvary Chapel and thank you pastor for preaching it.

Thanks I needed this too!! When I pray I go off in a tangent then realize I've stopped. Then start Repeating myself in case God doesn't know what I'm on about and thinks I'm talking gibberish! Thank you

As the oldest sibling, I assure you ... We don't " beat up " our younger siblings. I tell my little brother, it is how I exercise my birthright 😁 Great message on prayer, so many emotions come with conviction, thankfulness, during our walk with HIM

Thank you for explaining the Lord’s Prayer model I have not understood why New churches don’t pray it like in traditional churches. May I ask, we’re there born again believers during the time of Jesus on earth? I ask because you mentioned at the beginning that the sermon on the mountain was meant for the born again believers. Shalom

Is Epaphras and Epaphroditus one in the same? I see reference to the scripture in Colossians to Epaphras.

While the name Epaphras is probably a short version of Epaphroditus, they were two separate people in the New Testament.

A lot of gems in here BUT alas he repeats the old tired trope that "it's not meant to be recited." The Lord's Prayer is a set prayer - it's in the piyyut style of written prayers; but that does not mean it's empty to recite it. The idea in Jewish prayer was always to use liturgy to focus the person on God and spiritual things: there's always the possibility that people will recite it mindlessly, but that doesn't make itself liturgy wrong. If you come to it with intent, an open heart, reciting it will lead you to pray on and on long after you finish reciting it, about the different things listed in the prayer.
