Amazing. Been a Christian all my life. When you look at scripture through the lens of New Thought, it opens a greater view of the spiritual landscape. I don't see contradictions. I'm not afraid to think. Thank you for posting this.

The love of my life just recommended that I read that book... we have been separated by much trouble and toils for several years but we were reunited (completely unexpectedly) on Christmas day, 2020.. I know now that we have both been manifesting this reunion and I thank God that we are now divinely One, even though we can't physically be together for another month or so.. in that time I will finish the book and begin to apply the principles in my daily life. Ive read almost half if it and am absolutely blown away and excited to know I've been living this in some degree for the past two years.. praise God for You, my King, my Michael. I love You madly..

This sheds good light for me on why more obstacles, to myself, appear as I continue to grow along spiritual guidelines. Now, I understand why it is imperative that I remain true, for when I sway on the small details, others find it glaring and react so.

Has the Mandela Effect changed this prayer? my Bible from 1969 now claims it was written "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors" - but those are not the words I remember growing up. Seeking proof it is now different, in this recording from 1934 it is properly quoted at time mark 30:53 as "forgive us our TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE THAT TRESPASS AGAINST US." These words must be important if they have been changed by the Mandela Effect.

The words aren’t important. The meaning is the exact same. If someone trespasses against you, it could be said they created a “karmic debt” with you. Jesus is asking you to forgive it.

Yeah, I also found the bit about monetary gain a little off. The way I look at it is that no pastor nor any man gets things perfect. It's still a great idea to listen to wise men but just make sure what you take home from what they say is aligned with scripture. I love John Piper for example but I don't nessisary agree with him on the topic of free will.

Forgive 70×7 to me means forgive people for their sin because they’re going to send multiple times. However when speaking about things in the past you can choose to forgive that person for past things just one time and it’s done. You either make the decision to forgive them or you don’t it’s not something that you have to stew over if it’s one particular thing that they did. I don’t know maybe I’m being too literal

Instead of “wanting “....try trusting in God , therefore, not taking upon yourself any mental striving. God knows your needs and will supply them, but he can only do so if you drop your stress away. Then it is he that feeds you , and not yourself, and most importantly, you will know it and become more closer to him in love. Xx

Emmet Fox was a New Thought minister, not a Christian one. His interpretation of the Lord's Prayer, therefore, is not one that conforms with the Bible. Fox taught that man has a divine nature, Jesus was just a man, man can think and manifest things into existence, and that there is no sin and no need for salvation from sin.
@mfraze8753
@mfraze8753 6 жыл бұрын
Your opinion is based on your understanding of man made theology and doctrine. I to used to read the Bible with a bias mindset and became misguided in my religious beliefs. Did Jesus actually come to give us salvation from sin? That depends on your understanding of the two words, salvation and sin. The word sin is actually and old English archery term and simply means that you (the archer) missed the target. What about salvation? We define salvation in todays terms as being saved or redeemed, we have been rescued. What if our own beliefs or thinking is what is getting in the way of us truly living our lives the way God intended us to. What if instead of trying to hit the target using an old English longbow we had a new compound bow with sites on it and all sorts of other gadgets on it to help us hit our target? When we try and live our lives by the teachings of Jesus and keep an open mind to try and understand them better it gives us that nice compound bow and makes is easier to hit the target. Couldn't that also be seen as salvation from sin?
@sethking8739
@sethking8739 6 жыл бұрын
How do you arrive at those conclusions? He has referenced sin in this very talk and has stated it is our job to be presenting ourselves constantly to God for reform/"salvation". I don't understand. No he does not use the "Roman Road" or quote the "sinner's prayer" but its not likely that one would be presenting themselves to the God of the Bible for reform if he'd not "accepted" as fact the LORDSHIP of Christ....right?? I'm not trying to be disrespectful but I don't understand your comment.
@mfraze8753
@mfraze8753 6 жыл бұрын
He is just trying to take away any credibility from what Mr. Fox has to say. Now if you are talking about what I wrote, go ahead and tear it up. I question my own understanding constantly so I will not be offended if you have issues about what I wrote. When I read the Bible, the first thing I do is pray for understanding and I try not to take what I read out of context. I ask myself if what I just read should be taken allegorically, metaphorically or literally. I ask myself if I truly understand the words that were used and their definitions and what they meant back when they were written. I even question if my method of trying to understand is flawed.

Emmet Fox was an Irish New Thought spiritual leader and not a Christian believer in Jesus Christ. The Lord's Prayer was given to His followers, not all people- only those who obey His teachings. Please read the Gospels or at least the Book of John. Then ask our heavenly Father to reveal the truth to you.
