I am an atheist. I define atheism as suspending any acknowledgment as to the reality of any particular god until sufficient credible evidence is introduced. My position is that *_I have no good reason to acknowledge the reality of any god._* And here is why I currently hold to such a position. Below are 10 facts I must consider when evaluating the claim made by certain theists that some god exists in reality. To be clear, these are not premises for any argument concluding there to be no gods. These are simply facts I must take into account when evaluating such a claim. 1. I personally have never observed a god. 2. I have never encountered any person whom has claimed to have observed a god. 3. I know of no accounts of persons claiming to have observed a god that were willing or able to demonstrate or verify their observation for authenticity, accuracy, or validity. 4. I have never been presented a valid logical argument which also employed sound premises that lead deductively to a conclusion that a god(s) exists in reality. 5. Of the many logical syllogisms I have encountered arguing for the reality of a god(s), I have found all to contain either logical fallacies or false or unsubstantiated premises. 6. I have never observed a phenomenon in which the existence of a god was a necessary antecedent for the known or probable explanation for the causation of that phenomenon. 7. Several proposed (and generally accepted) explanations for observable phenomena that were previously based on the agency of a god(s), have subsequently been replaced with rational, natural explanations, each substantiated with evidence that excluded the agency of a god(s). I have never encountered _vice versa._ 8. I have never experienced the presence of a god through intercession of angels, divine revelation, the miraculous act of divinity, or any occurrence of a supernatural event. 9. Every phenomena that I have ever observed has *_emerged_* from necessary and sufficient antecedents over time without exception. In other words, I have never observed a phenomenon (entity, process, object, event, process, substance, system, or being) that was created _ex nihilo_ - that is instantaneously came into existence by the solitary volition of a deity. 10. All claims of a supernatural or divine nature that I have encountered have either been refuted to my satisfaction, or do not present as falsifiable. ALL of these facts lead me to the only rational conclusion that concurs with the realities I have been presented - and that is the fact that there is *_no good reason_* for me to acknowledge the reality of any god. I have heard often that atheism is the denial of the Abrahamic god. But denial is the active rejection of a substantiated fact once credible evidence has been presented. Atheism is simply withholding such acknowledgement until sufficient credible evidence is introduced. *_It is natural, rational, and prudent to be skeptical of unsubstantiated claims, especially extraordinary ones._* I welcome any cordial response. Peace.

@@jaricarlon9968 Your comment is WRONG. I determine which human behaviors are moral, amoral, or immoral, just as anyone else. And I make such determinations without any imput from a mythological god.

If you enjoyed 'I don't have enough faith to be an atheist', you might also enjoy these other titles from the same author: 'I don't have enough hair to be bald' I don't smoke enough to be a non-smoker' 'I don't have enough food to starve' 'I'm not gullible enough to have faith' and 'I'm too smart not to see the new clothes' Don't think about it, just keep buying the merch.

Turek is such an amateur at this. None of the arguments last under scrutiny, but because they support his faith he ignores the refutations. Typical.

I think Frank is great but every one of his videos is the same. If you've seen one you've seen them all. Same jokes, same arguments for at least the last 10 years. It would be nice to hear something new from him.🙏

Wow, to me this does proof there is a God. Just one thing i do not agree with! The Sabbath still need to be obeyed just like the other 9-commandments. Why! If sunday is the new day of rest, and is from God Does Pope Francis, from 2013, want to make sunday rest a law? 1. It was only the Sabbath that Jesus could practically apply without sinning. The other nine commandments He could not practically do. That's the reason why He mentions it so many times in the N.T. And Jesus makes the other commandments even stricker. And there are more than a 1000- commandments in the N.T. 2. Why? after His resurrection, did Jesus not tell His disciples that the Sabbath no longer applied to His followers. Jesus was still on earth for 40 days (Acts 1:3) and spoke of His kingdom....!! enough time to tell them about such an important change. 3. And then Jesus walked with two of His disciples to Emmaus and explained to them about Himself from Moses (Luke 24:27). Good time to tell them the Sabbath is no longer necessary? 4.Was Paul's custom to keep the Sabbath(Acts17:2 & Acts18:4). This was 20-years after Jesus Resurrection. 4. With Jesus 2nd coming, He returns to Jerusalem. What are we going to keep, when Jesus is back on His throne on earth in Jerusalem. We going to keep His Sabbath (Isaiah66:23) and His feast(Zech14:16). And we going to be teach His ways.(Micah4:1-2) 5. We just can't mention the commandments we must obey them, just like Jesus did and His followers. (1Pet2:21 and 1John2:6). There is no scripture(verse) that says that Jesus replaced the Sabbath. 6. In Heb4:9, the greek word "Sabbatismós" is used. And if all the translators, translate the verse correctly. It would have been: "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God" Heb4:9 7. Jesus obeyed his Father by keeping the Sabbath, it was His custom (Luke 4:16) to keep the Sabbath. We must follow in Jesus footsteps (1Pet2:21; 1John2:6). The Sabbath was blessed and sanctified by God (Gen 2:3). 8. What is scary, Paul says, we no longer live...,(Gal2:20) if we no longer live..., how can we decide about anything and then Paul says, Christ lives in me...? If I'm dead!!!. And Jesus lives in me, then I must do what (1Pet2:21; 1Joh2:6). Jesus says: "..., because you have only one teacher, and we are all "followers". (Matt23:8) Followers, not God too make decision. 9.In Isaiah 66:22-24, it says, that God's Sabbath will be kept in the 1000 year reign....? It is confusing, for 4000 years sabbath was kept, then God changesHis mind and for the next 2000 years it is not kept, AND then when Jesus come to reign on earth for a 1000 years, the sabbath will be kept again. Who can trust and believe in a God that goes back & forth, but my God; the one and only-One that is alive said in, Heb13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for EVER."

@RobertFurrow Hi thanks, not one of my 8-points was proof wrong from Gods Word. And if fulfiled means, what you say, we have a problem? Jesus said, He did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. (Mt5:17-20;Lk16:17). If the word "fulfill" mean done away with or no need for it, then according to Luke, everything that are written is done away with, no need for it.(Lk21:22). And we do not need to love our neighbor, according to Paul, it is fulfill.(Gal5:14) And Abraham's believe is also done away with according to James.(James2:23), Abraham's faith in God is done away with, our faith is then invain and we can't be his heirs. (Gal3:29). According to (Mt26:56), al the Scriptures of the prophets is done away with-that means the cross is meaningless, because it is fulfilled. And Deut 28 is also fulfilled. The word "fulfill" does not mean to "be done away with." Meaning of Fulfil(led): to fulfill, i.e. to cause God's will (as made known in the law) to be obeyed as it should be, and God's promises (given through the prophets) to receive fulfilment. And the ten commandments, got nothing to do with Jesus sacrifice. It is about the Ceremonial Law, (the oral law, talmud can be added), because it is all just tradition. Christians today also hold on to traditions(Mk7:5-9). It is the Ceremonial Law that our Savior Jesus came to abolish. He was The Lamb who died once and for all, for our sins, no need anymore for animal sacrifices. He was "Thee Sacrifice."(Hebrew10; 11; 12)

Yes, our universe began. And this comports with the first 3 words of the bible. But what if we had found the universe to be eternal? Would Xians today be admitting that the bible's kickoff is mistaken? 🤣No, today we'd be hearing about how our "eternal" universe is actually evidence for their "eternal" god and how "In the beginning" should be interpreted "metaphorically" or "symbolically." A win/win scenario!

Thanks, the Bible is clear, God the creator has put into all men a knowledge of himself, ant the evidence of a creator through creation, (Romans 1,2) and according to (Acts 17) is not fare form any of us. this is different than any other god.
