Not so. People don't CHOOSE to be atheist. They are atheists because they don't see any evidence for the existence of a God and believe that everything has a natural explanation as opposed to a supernatural one, even when such a natural explanation is not (yet) understood. Believing in God and an afterlife must be of tremendous comfort to any believer and so many atheists probably wish that they did believe in God and would therefore welcome evidence to prove that God exists. It's like a child who learns that Santa Claus doesn't really exist; they might still wish that he did exist. I'm an atheist because I see no evidence for the existence of God and instead believe that everything has a natural cause. Just because I don't understand where the universe came from (assuming it was not always there in some form or other), doesn't mean it must have been made by an old man in the sky using magic. Similarly, just because I don't know how life originally started (as opposed to evolved from that beginning), doesn't mean that it must have been created by a creator. It just means I don't know. There's no shame in admitting you don't know something and there's no need to invent some fairytale story about magicians living in the sky to explain such things.

For example the Moral argument is two baseless claims: that (A) objective moral values exist and (B) if they do, they're best explained by a god. No evidence of those claims is ever presented (in fact when theists try, _usually_ they're appealing to the feelings/opinions/tastes of people. I have a thought on this although I don't know if this is the correct answer but consider this, when did sin enter Satan's heart? We know he is a fallen Angel so at some point he has to be made good but lose his way. If he was in the garden to begin with he was probably there as some type of Guardian Angel. Have a read of Ezekial 28:11-19. There is a bit of debate if this verse is referencing Satan or not but if it is then it hints that Satan would be in the garden as a Guardian Cherub who while being away from the Throne of God became infatuated with his own beauty and became obsessed with splendor which led to sin taking over his heart. Perhaps convincing Eve to take the fruit was Satan's first act of Sin, the first time anyone ever dared to test God's boundaries.

I am a being of light, & a humble hearted individual, & so I take this opportunity to share. The conception of a God has puzzled me since I was a child. I know what I feel, & I know what is wrong. What comes from my heart is true, what comes from my head is misconstrued as selfish & immoral, judged by “true God believers”. So there in lies the crux of how a religion can condemn, damn, subjugate, deify, scorn, misunderstand, & alienate the true believers, of Love. Belief in oneself is Love, not believing in a construct of omnipotence, by other humans that act to control in the name if “the One”. We are the “One”, every concentration of light & energy regardless of form that shares space between our consciousness. We sacrifice our True selves by misconstruing the outer God to our original experience. Be a Being of Light from the Heart. Heads & Religion may guide You, yet no One can make it real for You. Only You, by You, for You. Think for You & no longer be a sheep, asleep. Being of Light, Love, & Laughter. If God is watching, how laughable are we to subjectify our True reason for being. Even the concept of reason is relative to our just being here. We are here for eachother. My best friend grew up in church, had a concept of relation to God, found that we are all smarter than we are & ascended to knowing that before we exist there is nothing, & when we cease to exist we are nothing. No-thing. Quite simple & never misconstrued with ideology of control outside of our own making. I find a connection to Other’s through resonance. Every One’s energy is how we relate. It’s all relative. Find Your Heart, what Relates & Gravitate to. I am, always, Love.

You don’t actually regard cover bands to the highest standard as your favorite artist. I meant to say if they play the song bad and they do a bad representation. The pope does not actually say or do what the Bible says as far as what I’ve seen or any priest. They operate off of hierarchy and nowhere is that found in the Bible to run a church. And we know Gods opinion because to create a highly designed universe you need a person who is intelligent and can make personable decisions. If you have a immaterial, personable, space less, timeless, being then he would obviously want to communicate with his creation. Therefore alligns best with his nature then that’s how we know his opinion. Cosmological Argument: Fails to actually reach the conclusion that a god exists, and relies on logic, which is derived from our local reality; therefore, using it to make inferences about pre-reality doesn't make sense. Teleological: Defines everything as designed, making it impossible to distinguish between design and non-designed. To conclude there's a designer is equivalent to saying there is no designer. Also, there's just no evidence backing the claim that nature or the cosmos or reality as a whole is designed. Moral: Morality, though held as important to humanity, is really rather vague. But if we're just referring to determining what actions we should or should not be allowed to do, we can objectively determine that via proper reasoning. To present a being (deity) as the cause of existence, capable of bending reality to its will, is to undermine any objective basis for morality; as morality (and logic as a whole) would just be the whim of said deity. But even setting aside proper reasoning, there are obvious, 'common sense' moral principles that are just necessary for any social creature. If everyone is a rampaging lunatic, then there wouldn't be anyone left to ponder morality in the first place: the moral version of the sentient puddle analogy.

The inference is not only that morality provides the existence of God, but that morality is despatched to us by God alone. If you follow that logic then the desire or choice to hate, kill, murder and rape is in that consignment too. Why does it have to be that way? Because God is omnipotent, and that means anything is possible. That can mean a moral person acts only by way of divine instruction, regardless of his absence or unrevealed state to some of us. Morality isn't a divine operating traders contract...it is simply an Idea that you treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.

Hmm. You are sure entitled to your opinion but what blows me away is when one does an open minded investigation into the things he talks about, there's a mountain of evidence and logic to back up what he says and believes. The scientific, literary, historical, archeological and even logic itself are massively in favor of what he purports. Scientist know that the universe had a beginning and that it is finely tuned to operate properly. Scientists know that it had to take a superior supernatural intelligence to write our 5 billion character DNA code which is part of the building blocks for life. Scientist know that the many components of our 60 trillion cells had to be in place at the same time for the cell to function and reproduce. And they also know that the chances of this happening by chance or evolution is pretty much zero know matter how long it could have taken to happen. Many of these scientists know it was God who did this this. And many scientists will not admit it is God who did this. The only logical explanation is they know if they admit the God of the Bible did it, they then have to be accountable to Him. And there lies the rub. We want to live independently of God and do our own thing. But if God is real and the Bible is Truth, then it also talks about the one called Satan whose whose only agenda is to kill, steal and destroy. He and his minions does this by working incognIto through deception to use our God given freewill against us. The Bible also tells us that due to the fall of Genesis 3, we are all born by default under his control. So where does that leave us. That's why Jesus, the God/man, The Creator came to make a way to escape Satan's control and come under God's control Who gives us abundant eternal life. It's a totally free gift. So please don't be like the scientist who won't believe in spite of all the evidence. Because in that state you are already toast. Just ask Jesus to show you the Truth. I promise He answers that prayer 100% of the time.

Stephen C Meyer, PHD stated it this way, "If it's true there's a beginning to the universe, as modern cosmologists now agree, then this implies a cause that transcends the universe. If the laws of physics are fine-tuned to permit life, as contemporary physicists are discovering, then perhaps there's a designer who fine-tuned them. If there's information in the cell, as molecular biology shows, then this suggests intelligent design. To get life going in the first place would have required biological information; the implications point beyond the material realm to a prior intelligent cause."

Unfortunately I started reading the Old Testament in 2014, when some folk of the Abrahamistic persuasion re-enacted the book of Moses in that same area. The moral argument is incredibly weak, I do not know why Frank thinks is is one of the very best. Oh wait, yes I do, it is because all arguments for the existence of "God" are bunk. The moral argument hinges on the premise that you can't have "objective morals", "absolute morals", or "universal morals" if Frank's "God" doesn't objectively exist. The problem is that no one has ever shown that any of those types of morals exist, so the foundational premise, and therefore the entire argument ,fails. It also suffers from the universal problem of "who is this god person anyway?" My personal, subjective morals are far better than those of the Christian gods. I see no reason to lower my standards to their level.

C.S Lewis puts it nicely. "Men became scientific because they believed in the law of nature, and they believed the law of nature, because they believed in the law giver. Now, to even begin to unfold the chapters of knowledge and make astounding discoveries requires a sheer level of faith. What's the physical guarantee that inventions are possible? I see atheists trying to separate faith and science like they also are not creatures of faith. It always takes faith. Plus Evolution is utterly based on Faith. I studied Archaeology in school, and believe me when I tell you it takes a massive level of faith to begin to objectively label some findings after exploring different theories and possibilities of what had happened or the story behind the artefact discovered. Its voodoo science, discovering bones in situ and calling it australophiticus, ramaphiticus, homo hablis when the skeletal frame in fact isn't comprehensive enough. Stephen Gould an American scientist believed it was very misleading to fleshen up the discovered bones in biology textbooks, when only broken, fragmeted and deformed skulls were found. It could have been in that SHAPE for a long period of time due to the pressure released on the skull by the density of the soil. But then Scientist in the name of practicing science proceed to give the discovery a 'full blown' body based on their speculations and variants of possibilities. How is that science?!! It takes FAITH to do that. Faith! That's what it takes. Also, there's been an immense skepticism about the creative power of mutation in regards to the natural selection mechanism. How can random changes acting on a living organism, this time, a coherent information in software programme for example result to a new form of life without degenerating what has been there, or this time, including more biological details that are not mindful of an organism's need for survival? In a nutshell, how is a baseline accuracy achieved such that it is consistent with the coherent string of DNA characters that is already existing in an organism that is being carried through the mutation process? Evolution is very FALSE, and I don't know how else to over emphasize this. Believe in Jesus Christ and Be Saved Today. He Loves You even if you hate him, and He wants you. To see for yourself, ask Jesus that if He is real, He should reveal himself to you, and you watch what happens.❤ And please guyss...Thinking is a personal thing, don't let some physicist, scientist all in the name of professional or authority appeal force you into thinking a certain way, even me, that's why I said to ask Jesus yourself. So many things in fact I have seen in Stephen Hawking's book Philosophy of Science that fulls beneath the scoreline of undiluted and dexterous science, highly misleading intelligent nonsense. Most of them are a bit of science rubbed with subjective views, coupled with his ability to market them with his authority appeal.

It goes like this. God is to build an eternity we call Heaven. The question is who can enter Heaven. God sets up Law for angels and humans to obey through a defined period time, then followed by a so-called Final Judgment to determine openly who can enter Heaven. To put it another way, Law serves as a measurement to see who can live with a sin-incompatible God in eternity. This started with humans without writing capability. Law (or rather a reflection of it) is written in our heart which remains as our conscience. However, by our freewill men's heart can be hardened. We are educated or re-educated by parental teaching, social encounters and such. We are even educatable when we are in mother's womb (as a matter of by whom though). So that everyone can have a variation of morality, though the original moral code is objective. That's why we need a God who can judge heart to do the Final Judgment for us. God/Jesus will use a covenant in place as the standard and takes everything into consideration to deliver a judgment result. That is, the original objective moral code will be used as a standard for our judgment, but God/Jesus will take everything into consideration. We need a just and fair God to do the Final Judgment for us humans. The Judgment for the angels are much more simple and straight forward.

You say that *_"God has written morality on our hearts"_* but there are several rather obvious problems with this assertion. Firstly if that were indeed the case then we would all regard the *SAME* "God" to be moral and regard the *SAME* scriptures and the laws they contain to be "moral," this is most certainly NOT the case. Most people do NOT think it immoral for a female to uncover her hair in public or to not face a specific landmark and pray five times a day. Most people in the world are just fine with eating bacon, wearing clothing of mixed fabrics and even picking up sticks on any day of the week. We do NOT think that our unruly rebellious children who disobey their parents ( sounds like most teenagers to me ) are deserving of the death penalty and we recognise that an instruction to _"Buy your slaves from the heathen nations that surround you"_ could never represent guidance from a perfect omnibenevolent unifying moral standard. We do however all have commonly held values found the world over irrespective of which religion or NO religion. These value all conform with our ideas about human wellbeing. As previously stated they are the basis for our ethical and legal systems the world over and for the most part it is only the concept of SIN ( perceived transgressions against the whims of subjective invisible beings ) that the disagreement occurs. Im not speculating here or just giving you my "opinion" the above is all *FACT* regardless of the existence or non existence of ANY "God". Given this, should humanity adhere and aspire to the common values that unite us all and have real impacts on real people here in the real world. ? Alternatively should we continue on trying to impose the perceived whims of our own subjectively determined invisible "one true God" that divide humanity and have no positive impact on wellbeing that can't also be attained via secular morality ?? Come on surely we are better than this, the sooner the world throws out like old furniture these gods and their barbaric religious ideological baggage the better.

@@trumpbellend6717 Do you even know that slavery is an establishment from or endorsed by the most moral humans back to the point? Would you explain why? See my pizza topping comment for an answer.

@@trumpbellend6717I already explained. As an analogy, Law in our heart is like the bread part of a pizza. It’s common to all pizzas disregarding what toppings put above. Which is the morality part put in our heart and will be used for humans Final Judgment. On top of this bread part of the pizza we add different toppings which altered our final morality. These toppings are a result of social culture developed, parental education and even from influence of the angelic beings. Moreover, our legal system actually relies on our common morality to work. That’s why all legal systems on earth share large part of similar content. Added that humans don’t need to read laws in order to obey laws. You don’t reread laws when traveling from one nation to another. Covering head is not part of the Law written in our heart. It is instead a Jewish Law (written either orally or literally but not in heart) or custom. You are confused, just as in any other part of your reply. Your “No God” assertion is simply from your own baseless faith or at best your poersonal speculation. I’ll give you another analogy here. If aliens exist and they have a reason to hide from us, then how possible that humans get to know their existence? The only way is by chance the aliens are encountered by eyewitnesses then for other humans to believe with faith. God allows humans to approach Him in the same manner. He has the chosen prophets as the eyewitnesses and for the rest of human kind to believe with faith. Apparently, you don't know how a truth shall convey among humans. Humans consider "something" a legitimate candidate of truth for a reason. Again, I'll give an analogy here for you to have a clue. Is it Trump won the votes or is it Biden? At the end a human can choose to believe Trump won or Biden won, even under the circumstance that we clearly know that one of them must be a lie! Now go figuring out why! That being said, if God is true (let's assume so for a while and for the sake of arugment) the only possible way for this truth to convey is what you can see through the Holy Bible as a testimony from eyewitness accounts. Come on, surely you can do better than this, to figure things out especially about how a truth (of any kind) shall convey among humans!

@@kennywong5857 Lol _"pizza topping"_ 🤭😂 if you want to use this absurd analogy then I would say that wellbeing and the values it incorporate's is the "bread" and all the different subjective religious piffle is the "Topping" dear 😜
