I wanted to add a second comment. As I go on to paint 12 headshots, I find some real pleasure. I am not painting them to reach the magic number of 12 for the project. They are just plain fun! I NEVER paint people, so to sit and paint a pleasant picture in five minutes is such a novelty for me. It seems every painting is better than the last. I am finding a few tricks in the process that defines my own style. (I bought a $5 set of hair brushes, to help customize the heads.) I feel free to expand my paintings with little changes to bring out certain features. Anyway, thank you again Calvin for such a great tutorial. I will be doing your “people in a crowd” tutorial next.
