In my own opinion, the Philippines is a country that foreigners go to settle or live in, to visit, and finally to do their business. There are so many foreigners who have business in the Philippines, such as Koreans, Japanese, Americans, and Syrians, to name a few. Filipino-born Canadian here and I find sweet savory food strange. I am an outlier of the majority. 😅 Food does bring people together. I had arepa colombiana at last year’s NC State Fair in Raleigh. Had arepa venezolana in Montréal almost 10 years ago. I was in an intercultural event today and was craving for arepa. Sadly, the Colombian booth only had empanadas but we will be at the State Fair on the weekend. 🥴

The complete name of the "Reina" arepa is Reina Pepiada, it was named after Miss Venezuela/ Miss World 1955 Susana Duim. And the arepa if from Venezuela.

I miss the Philippines. You can basically eat any food you like. Ive been in Japan for long while.. and you know what they say.... The greatest tradegy is that Japan has so wonderful high tech toilets.. but no Mexican food.. (or latin american food in this case) :D
