I grew up on a small farm of about 100 acres, 30 - 40 cows, and experienced some of the same chores and dreaded times of calving season. Glad I can sit in recliner, in a warm, dry house and watch the events of y'all's place. You and your Dad have such a great relationship, I encourage you both to hold this as a dear, priceless gift and don't take it for granted.

DANG!! Can't those blasted bovines at least wait till after breakfast?? How many of them skipped the Lamaze class?? And, you provide such a wonderful birthing place for them, they could at least clean it up when they are done.. What kind of insurance do they have any way?? Wow, y'all have gotten screwed for snow! We've had around 15" since Jan 1st in 3 different storms here in Southern Kansas. We haven't had measurable snow in the last 3 or 4 years. Them cows love the cake!

Seriously, Congratulations on your engagement ! I joke a lot on here about my better half, but if I must be honest, marrying her was the best decision I ever made. She is a wonderful wife that puts up with the bizarre hours that all of us have in this profession and she has not only supported me in it, but she has been a true partner in the journey as well as a wonderful mother to our 2 boys. I am sure Tiffany will bless you with the same love and companionship. I know you will do the same for her too.

Enjoy your life together, know you will have a great life together!!!!!! Excellent video on calf season. Lots of hours spent with the calf’s and the difficulty that can arise. Good job Brian and Cole on saving that calf and getting the other one to drink Mother’s milk. It isn’t always so easy. Remember those days with sheep and pigs. Been there done that. You both are excellent herdsmen and take great care of your herd. You calf’s have been nice sturdy stock. You have excellent cows. No snow on the ground your way, wow that is unusual. I’ve always hung breach calves over a rail gate or fence for 3-5mins after birth, gravity helps clear the mucus better from mouth & nasal passages. Good job.
