It's too brooding for my tastes-not enough of the hope-bringer that Superman is supposed to be. Sure, I can understand the appeal of exploring a darker, more realistic take, where Superman, like Bayverse Optimus Prime, might lose his way after constant betrayal, the loss of allies, and humanity's rejection. But at the same time, Superman, like Optimus Prime, isn’t just any character; he embodies hope, idealism, and everything good. Even when mankind resents or fears him for being a good man, his struggle is precisely that: remaining good in a flawed world and serving as a beacon of hope when it's desperately needed. That’s why Lex Luthor is the perfect villain for Superman-just as the Joker is for Batman. Superman is an optimist and an idealist, always striving for the best in people, while Lex Luthor embodies bitterness, cynicism, and the darker side of humanity. When people say characters like Homelander or Omni-Man are what a 'realistic' Superman would be, they’re missing the point entirely. That mindset is essentially aligning with Lex Luthor's perspective-cynical, mistrusting, and unwilling to believe in the possibility of true good. Superman represents the challenge of holding onto that goodness, even when the world around him doesn't deserve it. That’s what makes him compelling, timeless, and necessary.

I honestly think that this video focuses too much on the negative views of Superman, such as seeing Superman as a god or Superman being evil. It doesn't focus enough on what makes Superman the good man and the great hero he is.
