Do you have to have those splitter rods on or can you have the front splitter on without the rods

mine are mounted to the grille. should be atleast to the bumper but my friend that gave me the splitter already had the wholes in it so it lined with the grille better than bumper. but yes put them on so you don’t break the splitter off at high speeds.
