Nice video. On my 1510N-7 the threading is different then yours. On mine the thread goes down around the lower tension then up to the upper one then down to the take up spring. I like the change Juki did putting in a bushing in the take up lever and also the first thread guide has changed.

Hi, thanks! As far as threading, varying the threading is nothing unusual as long as the final few steps are the same.

Is there anyway to slow down the speed of the front tack & back tack on CP180? Mine is way too fast and always breaks the thread or yanks it out of the needle starting unless its set to 1-1-1-1

Any tips to help figure out why my 1510n-7 skip's the first stiches ? sometimes up to 1/2 in before it stitches proper. If I hold the needle thread it stitches. Other wise it sews and trims fine.

Hi, even though it trims fine, the remaining thread at the needle might not be long enough. Depending on what you are sewing, if the thread is too short, it will take few stitches for the material to hold the thread and form a stitch. 1 or 2 back tack stitches at the beginning will help this--the change in direction helps hold the thread in the material.

@@camatronsewing Makes sense thanks. The remaininng thread after trim can be lengthened by backing off the small tension on top right? I'll try that today. Backing off totally to gain thread. If that doesn't work then what? I bought it from Sloan in NH and it would be a big pia to get it down to him to adjust. 100 miles one way and so so heavy to get it there via pickup.

thread take up like on a bas, increase the thread length

@@kerie8614 actually it was the final tension on the bobbin thread locked down after trimming. So the upper thread couldn't catch the bobbin thread. I adjusted that and it's fine now.

I have same machine! My question is when it backstitch and cut the tread fine! But when needle reposition back even with the foot, it sometimes needle is below the the foot half way down or down to the plate, I have to turn the wheel to put needle up where supposed to be! Why does that happen? How do I fix it?

It could be setting on the machine that changes how much torque the motor has so that it does not drift from the needle up position. You can call my office and we can try to help

@@camatronsewing I looking at today! Usually when you turn machine that runs on air! Needle reposition itself and wasn't doing that like it should. So something is off.
