Not even close. You can clearly tell from a mile away between the dances Khmers and Thais. Not even remotely close. Besides Khmer hand movements have meaning but Thais don’t. Oh, don’t forget to mention, Thais captured the Khmer court dancers back to Thailand after the invasion of Cambodia and force them to teach Thai dancers how to dance.

​@@wolo8107Princess Norodom Buppha Devi said in an interview that Thais came to teach her and her grandmother. They also said during that time Cambodia was weak and was very influenced by Siam. The dance was reform to be be Khmer and to be different so you would be able to tell it apart. But now days you don't even know what is what. The traditional dance costume was also invented during Princess Norodom Buppha Devi. But my question is why does her grandmother did not remember anything from the traditional dance to clothing. There are traditional Khmer dance but it's very different to this.

​@@woodoopui184I've seen interviews on the royal Khmer ballet. I've seen Cambodians saying Papaya Salad comes from Cambodia when it actually comes from Laos. I think it's to convince people and make them look grand. But this type of misinformation will come back to bite them.
