In his autobiography, Ghazali says that he learnt the falsafa in 2 years in his spear time after lectures.

Actually, Tahafut tradition in the Ottoman tradition was not about evaluating the debate between Ibn Rushd and al-Ghazalı rather it was about evaluating the debate between peripatic philosophers especially Avicenna and theologians particularily al-Ghazali. Most probably Khocazadah and Ala ed-Din et-Tusi were not aware of Ibn Rushd's Tahafut. Even they no mention Ibn Rushd's name. This is an important point that is mostly confused.

The Gnostic stereotype has long plagued the reputation of religion and the idea that philosophy is quotes continues to plague philosophy.

The stigma around gnosticism only plagues Christianity. Even though in John's gospel it verbatim uses the word "gnosis" of God. Islam has no issue with gnosis.

It's a sad affair when we as Muslims look to European 'philosophers' (in Quranic terminology: deviants, miscreants, demon-possessed, those with veiled hearts and eyes and ears, hell-dwellers, the deluded ones, those who've gone astray, etc) as if they're in any position to give us their opinion about the Quran and Islam. No true Muslim would care about them, or at least when studying their demon-inspired 'philosophy', would unambiguously refer to them as deviants and misguided, as per Quranic terminology. That is the true position of a Muslim, be it at the time of the Quran's revelation or today.

We shouldn't be taking their sciences also, by this logic? No?

I understand what you mean but I think that's a bit too narrow-minded to even avoid evaluating their ideas or having a discussion. I feel you're also generalizing too much with that labeling and arguably applying Qur'anic verses too broadly and aggressively.

It's funny how you didn't even watch the video, let alone even understand the topic. But ofc your fragile ego couldn't bare it and you had to spout the inane drivel you're so accustomed to. Mindless-drones are unable to escape their own chains.

There are many "Muslims" whose "philosophies" are far more demonic than the Europeans. The reason for this is that they use the Quran to justify their ideologies. Unfortunately there is an unhealthy us vs them mentality in our ranks. It is fueled by inferiority-superiority complexes. Every human being is a servent of God and he can inspire anyone to carry forward his message regardless of skin colour.

O it's not the true position of a Muslim. How do you reject something of you don't know what it is?
