What's going on here? I'm always watching speeches and discussions on KZbin and I can't believe this prolific a scholar is going, relative to he could be, unnoticed. I'm only 7 minutes into the video (which I'm rewinding a lot due to his English proficiency) and there's a deeply thought-provoking statement every few seconds. I'm at "there isn't a dream without the nightmare". Extraordinary!

Barak Allah Feekom. This had a profound effect on me. There is no greater joy than spending time in nature with others, struck by the beauty surrounding us, falling into reverie and then emerging to share thoughts with each other. Solitude in company. I shall be reading AlGhazali InshaAllah as the college has whetted my appetite for more.

@17:10 to play devil's advocate, if Dr. Winters himself visited there, some might assume based on his appearance that he's not Muslim. So purporting to estimate the percentage of Muslim attendees of an exhibit based on sight is liable to overlook converts like Dr. Winters himself. Or to peg folks who look like me as likely Muslim when I'm not. Am I wrong? In any case, I love these talks, greatly enjoy learning about al-Ghazali, anti-colonial resistance in the Caucasus, Islamic leadership paradigms and Islamic thought etc, all very illuminating and edifying. Cheers 🙏 PS. is the discontinuation of building breathtaking Islamic architecture a good index for Muslim civilizational decline? I ask this out of genuine curiosity; namely, in reviewing Islamic history, was there a reliable correlation between leaders' piety / religiosity and investing in building the biggest and most impressive mosques?

What is the source of the Hdith Shaikh Abdal Hakim Murad is mentioned? "If you are given it without asking for it, you will be given success in it. And if you achieve it through asking for it, it will be given authority over you." This sounds very interesting, but more over it sounds wrong to me! Or maybe I did not understand the Hadith fully! This is also possible.

Abdur Rahman ibn Samurah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me, “O Abdur Rahman, do not ask for authority. If it is given to you at your request, you will be held fully responsible for it. If it is given to you without your request, you will be helped by Allah in it.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6727, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1652 Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi (authenticity agreed upon) according to Al-Bukhari and Muslim Ibn Hajar said, “The meaning of the tradition is that whoever seeks authority and is given it will forfeit his support from Allah, due to his desire. Another benefit in it is that seeking the mandate to judge is discouraged, including authority, judiciary, enforcement and so on, as whoever desires them will not be helped by Allah.” Source: Fatḥ al-Bārī 13/133

Reflect that ethos of leadership with that of your local Islamic leadership, the scurrying or simpletons rejects from capitalist society driven to feed their egos with substitutional status as “sheikhs” in your local mosques after failing to gain notoriety by other means instead of having the pure intent of service to our deen... meanwhile the more capable minds instead immerse themselves in the everyday rat-race of modern materialism. It’s no wonder I find every “leader” here locally in Australia an absolute bore to listen to and an empty vessel when it comes to being a source of inspiration for the deeper contemplation of consciousness and the nature of existence that I feel in me as a primal purpose. Society today doesn’t value spiritual enlightenment, it’s a life path that doesn’t provide prestige, let alone security, the other edge of this sword, the ego, inflates... and the spiral downward continues.

Enjoyed this talk mashAllah. But being Othered by a fellow Muslim was a bit disquieting - what to make of the huge generalisation of subcontinental Muslims in London, with mention of 'asian style' 'tinselly' things - subcontinental Muslims are spoken of as 'them'. How strange - are we not the same ummah. Maybe it is just a generational gap, rather than a cultural gap. Are white British youth any more interested in the V&A and their heritage? Not particularly. In any case, there are good things to take from this talk. JazakAllah khair.
@m.mohtashim2000

Brother, that's totally misunderstood. What the point that Sheikh is highlighting in this particular lecture is the disappointing fact that us Muslims have lost our culture and heritage (not just in Asia or Middle East but all around the world). The fact is clearly manifest in that we don't pride ourselves with our cultural heritage which is increasing fading away with our adoption and adaptation to the western/ modern culture. We don't look at the achievements of our ancestors with pride and honour on the contrary it is often with a little tint of embarrassment as they are often maligned and denigrated to serve the western colonial narrative for the justification of the exploitation and the perpetration of crimes against the colonised. This is what the unfortunate reality is today. So, Sheikh Abdul Hakim Murad is making the same point here in the lecture. It is actually in this remorseful and regrettable transition of ourselves that has taken place towards the western culture that the Sheikh made that remark. And just a side point, the sheikh never differentiated between the Muslims in the West or in the Asian subcontinent, he is talking about the actions of the Muslims in general.

OPEN SECRET We got conned by supremacists from either side but the primary sources tell us that Christianity=Islam and Islam=Christianity. So, rather than be talking about 2 religions, we should be talking about two Traditions as Paul himself put it: One Tradition for the Circumcised(Islam or the Authority of the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15: 22-32) versus the Tradition for the Uncircumcised(the Council of Nicaea based on Paul's Gentilism or Filioism). Each one of these Traditions claiming exclusively the Pristine Apostolic Christianity. As always, remember that Messiah(Christ) is a Prophet(Messenger) like Moses... Deut. 18:15-19 Greco-Roman supremacy sucks; so does Arab-Qureish supremacy ! That said, If you want to know how the atheists' theory of "Document hypothesis" and the Protestants' "Sola Scriptura" are both the two sides of the same coin and why they are both worthless, read the article below... ------------------ ISRAEL AND THE NATIONS PAGAN Paul(Romans 9 thru 11) The Qur'an in the Qur'an(Reminder) refers to the Law of Moses. If anyone couldn't figure out that the title Qur'an on the cover of the book is a fraudulent one, then it is safe to argue that, that person doesn't understand the polemical exchanges between the pagans and the believers not even the content of the Bible for that matter. "We have given you the 7 oft-repeated verses and the glorious Qur'an..." Translation: We have given you the Fatiha and the Law of Moses as the basis for your legislations in rejection of the Roman pagan Law, the papal sacraments, and Trinity. Here is another one: "What! If this Qur'an is from God, you believe not, but a Rabbi among the Children of Israel attests to its similitude and believe while you proudly reject it..." Does this look like some words from God? What was the Jewish Rabbi doing in Mekka messing with Allah's revelation? LOL... Or was he just comparing two translations of the same Torah, one in Hebrew and the other in Arabic? The dude was a Prince-Legislator, a Founding Father, and a statesman "If you say the name(Mohammad) find the reality it names. O cross-eyed One, if you only one in two, I see two in one." Rumi PTICAL ILLUSION/FALSE REPELLENT! Jesus is Muhammad(the Praised-One), fools. A point was made but you guys missed it altogether due to your poor reading skills. But the adults and the Sufis in the room know that Muhammad is not a given or personal name but a substitute title, a euphemism for Christ(Messiah). Since Jesus is said to be that Christ(Messia), then Jesus is Muhammad. We make the difference between Islam and the Arab-Qureishits propaganda contained in the Hadiths, and the "Sira Rassul Allah," etc... That marketing gimmick was meant to capitalize on the pilgrimage to Mekka and not as historical facts. Kaabahism therefore is not Islam! For the "stone that the Mekkan builders rejected and exiled had become the cornerstone..." and it is our Lord doing. We also know that when someone promulgates a Constitution like the Constitution of Medina, receives embassies, passes legislations, proclaims a tax Codes, raises armies, signs treaties, etc... with some neighborhood nations, etc..., that person is in a role of a Founding Father like George Washington, Emperor Constantine, Cyrus the Great, Caesar Augustus or Alexander the Great, etc... We don't take the word "Prophet" in the literal sense. So, If you have ever wondered why a substitute title was needed for Jesus and a name shifting scheme for the Arabian Founding Father, here you have it: "Your people don't want to hear about Jesus. And when His name is mentioned, lo! your people burst into clamor thereby..." That is why an OPTICAL ILLUSION was created: We(the Children of Israel) send you, O Abu Quasim, among your own people so that they may believe in our God and His Messiah/Muhammad/Christ/Al-Massih, help Him, praise Him(Muhammad=the Praised-One), sing for Him evening and morning...." "Remember when Jesus asked, "who will assist me in the way of God? The disciples replied: 'we shall be the helpers of God. Bear witness we are Muslims.'" Hear O Israel, Jesus is the Messiah, i.e. Christ. By the way, According to Acts 11:26 is a Christian he who believes Jesus to be the Messiah, that is to say Christ, foretold by Moses in the Torah but rejected by Israel. "I will send the Christ/Messiah, a Prophet/Messenger like you Moses, Him, they must listen...." Deut.18:15-19; Acts 3:22-25; Acts 7: 1-49 ; John 4:24-26, etc... The word CHRISTIAN was coined in Antioch of Syria and not in Athens, Rome, or Boston. In that sense, Muslims are Christians because for Islam Jesus is the Christ announced in the Law and the Prophets, born of the Virgin Mary. You may as well check the Transfiguration in Matthew 17:1-13 where Jesus "oversees" a meeting between Moses the Lawgiver and someone who would ratify the same Law for the Arabs(the descendants of Ishmael). In Genesis, Abraham was promised many Princes for Ishmael. So the Muslims are Christians certainly not of Paul's Tradition, yet still Christians but the Americans are not... Every American should know, then, that If Jesus is Lord, it stands to reason that Nature's god is NOT. Yet, Nature's god in the Jefferson Bible and in the so-called 'Declaration Of Independence" claims just that... And this is the official position of the American government because Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd President of the United States and is the one who penned the so-called "declaration of independence" which became the Law of the land in the Constitution. Nature's god in the Jefferson Bible inspired the "Bill Of rights" and specially the First Amendment which states that every religion under nature is as valid as the next; this is why polytheism and Idol worship enjoy special protection under Natural Law which pushed out Canonical Law or Sharia Law. Nature's god states that Jesus did not resurrect because there is no such thing as resurrection of the dead; men die and worms take care of their bodies and that, most surely, wild dogs took care of Jesus' body. Nature's god claims that there is no supernatural, no miracles, no virginal birth, no revealed Law since Laws are a construct of societies and each society makes its own laws in accordance with its need. That the Ten Commandments were not revealed and are no better than the Law of Hammurabi. For Thomas Jefferson, the Apostle of Nature's god, Nature's god instituted government on earth to distribute rights without responsibility: right to liberty from morality, right to pursue happiness, happiness for all(We wonder how government will enforce happiness which is not a tangible good), and right to life... Paul, Jesus-Christ's Apostle to the "Pax Romana," on other hand instructed us that Government was instituted on earth by God to keep order, render Justice for the equality of the Children of God in view of the Last Judgment. Nature's god insists that Life stops here and that there is NO immortality: "Let's eat and drink for tomorrow we die, and nothing awaits us after death. Don't be missing out..." Jesus said man was born corrupted and can purify himself with the means God put at his disposal. Nature's god however holds that man was born perfect but got corrupted by government. We wonder If all the jails built across their lands are only for members of government. Nature's god is truly Satan who set out to contradict the True God on every single line! So If you are an American you should worry about the subversive nature of the American founding documents, America's Nature's god, and the fate of your impious founding fathers who worked hard to mislead mankind away from the Gospel. Enough of that circular reasoning. Please worry not about Islam; it has been around for more than 1000 years. I am just wondering If America would be around that long...!!! Worry about the disastrous fate of America, that house built in the sand...!!! Through Mary, God...!!! I More in: 1/The Making Of The Arabian Messiah(Christ), Sole Ruler Of Mankind Like Augustus Caeasar. 2/Christianity: Circumcised(Islam) Versus Filioism(Uncircumcised)...!! 3/Son of God: Paul versus John vs. Nicaea...

I find the idea of a religious, and especially muslim, college quite ridiculous. Does the college, like the Quran, teach that sperm comes from the back bone and the earth is flat?

⚔️Some of The Attributes and Characteristics of Khawaarij🔥 💢Part - 10 (last part) 🔰There will be from among them those who will be with the Dajjal during the Last Days. It was said to Ali (Rady'Allahu anhu): “All praise be to Allah who rescued the servants from them.” He replied: “Nay. I swear by the One in whose Hand my soul is, there are still some of them that remain in the loins of men and verily, there are those amongst them who will be with the Dajjal. 💢When Ali ibn Abi Talib (Rady'Allahu anhu) overcame the Khawaarij on the day of Nahrawan, he responded to the people who came to congratulate him that Allah (azza wajal) had finished them with his hands saying: ‘The praise is for Allah. O leader of the believers who eradicated them at their roots!’. He said, “No, by Allah, they are still in the backs and spines of men and the wombs of women. And when are alive, they hardly leave anyone alone.” [al-Bidaya wan-Nihaya, 7/295; 10/590] ‼️ Shaikhu’l-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said, “And this sign which RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) mentioned would be the sign for the first people of the Khawaarij. But they are not the only people that are spoken of in these verses because He (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) mentioned in other hadith that they would still keep coming until the age of the Dajjal. “It is concluded by the Muslims that the Khawaarij are not the only Khawaarij mentioned in the battles with Ali in the battle of Nahrawan.” [Majmual-Fatawa, 28/495-496] 🏹Khawaarij will not only come out during one era form the ages only. Rather they have come out a number of times, until they will come out in rebellion along with Dajjal. So it is related from RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam) that he said: 🔥“A people will come out towards the end of time. It is as if this one (Thul-Khuwaysirah) is from amongst them. They will recite the Qur’an, yet it will not pass beyond their throats. They will shoot through Islam just as an arrow shoots through the hunted game. They will be called at-Tahaluq. They will not cease to revolt until the last of them revolts along with Dajjal. So when you encounter them, then kill them. They are the most evil of the creation.” [Ahmad; Nisai; Ibn Abi Shaybah, Musannaf; al-Bazzar, Musnad; Hakim, al-Mustadrak; Haythami, Majmauz Zawaid] ♨️Narrated from Ali (Rady'Allahu anhu) who said: "I heard RasulAllah (sallallahu alaihe wa sallam ) say: ‘Towards the last days, a people will emerge who will be young in age and have foolish ideas. They will speak with the best speech of the creatures. Their iman will not go past their throats. So wherever you encounter them, kill them, for indeed there will be a reward for the one who kills them on the Day of Judgement.’" [Bukhari; Muslim; Ahmad, Musnad; Ibn Abi Asim, as-Sunnah; Abdullah bin Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, as-Sunnah] ⚔️There is a great reward for he who kills them. Ali bin Abi Talib (Rady'Allahu anhu) said: “If the army that encounters them knew what was ordained for them upon the tongue of their prophet, they would only rely on that action.” [Abu Dawud] ‼️In one narration from Abu Sa’ed al-Khudri (Rady'Allahu anhu) and Anas b Malik (Rady'Allahu anhu), it reads: “Whoever fights them has more right to Allah than them.” [Abu Dawud] ♨️And in another narration from Abu Sa’ed al-Khudri (Rady'Allahu anhu), it states: “Toobaa is for he who kills them and is killed by them.” [Abu Dawud; Ahmad; Ibn Sad; Ibn Abi Asim, Sunnah; Lailaki, Sharh usulul i'tiqaad] 💢and from Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (Ahmad) Abu Umamah (Rady'Allahu anhu) said: “They are the worst of those who are killed under the surface of the sky. And the best of those who are killed is he who is killed at their hands.” And he said: “These individuals were Muslims but became disbelievers.” [Ibn Maajah]

OMG I WANT TO HAVE HIS BABY! Sheik Murad is awesome🤩 (sorry if the baby thing sounds disrespectful 🤭) but don’t you hope that Murad’s views metastasise?? I’m Catholic, we’ve got Pope Francis and some other great thinkers (shame about the other annoying ones🙄) but for Palaeolithic reasons most of our leaders are vowed celibates - could be a handy tool to streamline and simplify life, from the outside I think it looks like a handbrake to understanding life🤦‍♀️
