Hey man! 3 years later did you still use the system? I really want a wireless transmission with a V mount design like this! But other system are $$$$$... Are they super cheap with a huge amount of latency or its not that bad? thanks a lot!

Love the setup, be it a bit on the heavy side.. how much delay do you have (in frames/milliseconds ?)

Hi, yes it is heavy, but you get used to it. :) Also I have an Eastrig which helps to distribute the weight if I am going to be using it on a long shoot. I am not sure about the delay in frames of milliseconds. It's not super fast. Totally usable, but not fast enough that I would use it for say "focus pulling on a moving subject like a car shoot."

Can I use that Remote Zoom for a Canon EOS 80D camera? Thanks so much for your video-very helpful. I may get the wireless to stream events from a Blackmagic mixer to KZbin Live events and Zoom needs. Would this be good?

You could use the follow focus on any camera or lens as long as the lens has "teeth" for the mechanism to "bite" into. You can get these kind of cable tie things that you can wrap around the lens to give it teeth. - edelkrone.com/products/lens-gear-pro?action=buy-now As for the wireless function. These ones work best with cameras that use V-Mount batteries. You don't have to use them with those, but it helps. So may be better to look at a smaller wireless solution for the transmission of the video.

3:17 Does the Shogun 7 push Raw video to the Crystal V? Or does the Shogun 7 record Raw, process it into video and send it out over SDI?

The Crystal V can't do RAW. So that isn't going to work. Also, I don't know if the Shogun can output RAW. It can take it in, but I don't think it can push it out. The Shogun takes in the raw and then sends out a non RAW signal to the Crystal V.

Hey man ive been looking into getting this focus system and was wondering if it was possible to attach and use with a gimbal specifically the Ronin S? I imagine it should work no problem but i cant help to wonder where i could attach the control wheel. Oddly it seems no one on youtube has set this up to be used on 1-man setup.

Technically I suppose you could do this, I don't have a Ronin S to test it for you. Some things to keep in mind though is that of course it will add weight to the front of your rig, so gotta balance for that. Also there is a slight delay, totally acceptable for most things, but for something like sport, may not be fast enough. The biggest challenge you'll come up against I think is where to mount the controller and how to use this as a one person setup. Maybe you could get some sort of two handle setup for the Ronin, or a cage kinda thing that you can put the Ronin in? If you can make it a two handed setup, then you can mount the controller next to one of you hands and then maybe do it? So I think you can do it, but not going to be just a simple setup.

It has a signal strength of 25-30 ft and then takes forever to reconnect
