We heading north of the Gascoyne River and travel through cattle station country. This section is remote as we pick our way through the station tracks from the river country we now head towards the ranges. We find fossils along the way. We also find some good feed for the camels as recent rains has visited this stretch. This journey takes us on our way to Mt. Augustus but is still long way off. The storms are now passed and the weather cooling.

Mr. Luke, you will enter history and Australia will put a statue of you and the camels with you, and you will be the legendary man of the desert. Generations will remember you after several centuries. Thank you, Ms. Luke, for the wonderful content you provide.

@@lukecampbelladventures 🤣🤣 I don't know who Burke and Wells are, but it seems from the way you talk about them that they entered history in the opposite way 🤣 I would rather die and have no one know me than die and go to the dustbin of history 🤣 But the difference here is that you actually deserve to be remembered because you are that first legendary man in Australia who braved the desert. He tamed strong, disobedient wild camels and was able to command them to do what he wanted. Taming large, wild wild camels is not the same as taming young camels. I will call you a desert beast.

I had previously lived in Australia for two years in Melbourne in 2010. If I had known Mr. Luke then, I would have been with him in the desert and with the camels.

Stunning scenic photography . Just wondering how the camels and yourselves cope with so many flies . Never seen flies so thick . And we are really interested how you keep up your energy levels up with so much walking ?

Camels cope with the flies better than me but they keep you moving the scenery out here keeps the legs going just look at sections of the map not the whole thing

Australia can be such a harsh and unforgiving country. It's great you came across those salt bush berries for a delicious snack! Everything else seems to be poisonous.

There's some good bush foods but some can hurt you, once you get to know the land it becomes like home and not so scary
