I'll receive some heat for this comment, but for me CAMEL are THE PROGRESSIVE BAND! I love the whole genre loads of bands I love Yes, Genesis, Crimson, all of it, but Camel have the most meaning for me. 21 years ago I bought this CD and I had never really listened much to Camel beforehand. This is the first song on I Can See Your House From Here and I was immediately knocked cold by the whole album and especially the melodies of the songs. I love all of their albums and the reason I say Camel are the best band for me is that their music has a kind of honesty and warmth that a lot of other bands severely lack. I love the albums with Pete Bardens and this album the most. I miss Pete's great writing and playing. Camel are beautiful.

Try Stationary Traveller. It's a good one!! Check back with me after you listen to it a couple of times. You won't be disappointed. Traveller was the second album for me after Camel a live record..

They have heart and in overcoming so many health issues staying true to who they always were. A great band indeed. The only sometime player I got to see live was Kit Watkins in DC while in college in 1976 with the then Happy the Man - A band that opened for Renaissance and blew them out of the water that day.

I agree. Saw them open up for wishbone ash in Kansas city decades ago. Incredible
Thanks. Countless are the times that these boys have walked with me!

I like progressive rock for its versatility and time signature. Hard to be inert to this sound.

Great stuff! But what's happening with this album and many other titles from the Camel back catalogue? Impossible to find the CD and it has disappeared on all streaming services. And now most songs are blocked here on youtube.

Great opening song for an unusual alboum. there arent many songs which are so polyrithmic as this one. (4\4\,7\8,5\8,11\8)all in one song

@@iota-09 My favorite U.S based prog band, their first album is my favorite album from 1977 alongside Heavy weather by weather report. Kit is by far the greatest synth soloist in progressive rock.
