Just to consider, the custom bracket might trap the water/mud, which will cause a corrosion of cut original bracket. Some corrosion protection might be required and/or drain holes in the clamp, to allow water to escape. Maybe a fit is not so tided, but just for consideration. I don’t own T7 but I love your creativity:-)

Like many, I've been waiting to see the details. Great work! Functional and innovative. Looking forward to getting one! One thing you can emphasize about the benefit of this set up is that not only is the exhaust hanger susceptible to damage, but as strong as the stock muffler and hanger are, you can also bend the entire sub frame. That is actually why I want this kit so much. I have seen a frame written off for this reason.

Might want to check the exhaust packing on these exhausts. I have one on my BMW Dakar and had to replace the packing twice in just over a year apart. Getting the pipe in that narrow section requires a small radius, near 90° bend followed by another tight radius 90° then about 45° to line up with the muffler in the location we wanted. It's not what we were going for.

you would expect from a company like Yamaha, that they perform sufficient bike dropping tests to see if it can handle small impact.
