I introduced this Camelbak to my toddler and he and I couldn’t get water out of it. I went ahead and worked on it and crushed the bite valve and now it works. He loves it and now I need to get another one so he can advance from his other cups

That small detail about the nozzle arriving sealed... you wouldn’t believe how long it took me to work that out. I almost sent it back! Mine came so tightly sealed that no amount of biting or sucking could get it freed. A bit of force and it opened...

It took us a while to work that out too! Glad you managed to get it sorted.

The same here, also there is a small grey button/valve under the lid next to the straw. Do you know what is it for?

@@holikluc6056 haven't yet received our bottles, but if I underatood your question correctly, that should be a pressure valve. As the kid sucks on the straw, the pressure in the bottle decreases and the valve opens up to allow for the pressure to equalize, otherwise the water would not be able to go up the straw. Edit: oh, I just noticed this comment is two years old. Well...

Your instructions on biting helped me. I was about to cut into the valve so it would open up. But it was super important for it to be spill proof for my son to keep on his backpack. ☺️

What are these like for durability? My 2 yr old has thrown and broken 4 water bottles in 6 months from cheap to name brands

Hi pretty good, my kids never cracked the bottle despite it hitting a tiled floor many many times!

Hi, no I don't think the kids bottles do but the 0.6L are a bit narrower: www.littleadventureshop.co.uk/products/camelbak-eddy-0-6l-water-bottle-true-blue

is there a rubber ring/seal in the lid?

Hi, good question. Yes inside the lid there is a seal which you screw the bottle up against.

All times needs to bite when my children wants to drink?
@LittleAdventureShop4 ай бұрын
Hi, you need to squeeze the valve with your teeth or lips to open the bite valve have a gulp of water and then release. It's actually very intuitive when you do it, but sounds quite complicated then I write it down!

Hey, there is a small grey valve under the lid, what is it for? I got rid of it and can’t put it back 😀
@LittleAdventureShop2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lucy. That little valve allows the air into the bottle as your child sucks the water up through the straw. Your bottle should still work fine with it missing, however its other job is to prevent water spilling back out through the little holes that let the air in. It's probably worth checking your bottle with some water in and tipping it on its side/upside down to see if anything leaks out. If it's a problem, we sell spare lids for the bottle: www.littleadventureshop.co.uk/products/camelbak-eddy-kids-replacement-water-bottle-top Hope that helps!

Can you review the Zak kids stainless bottles that Walmart sells?

Hi, sorry no, we don't have Walmart in the UK

The spring loaded nozzle fails on these after use. Bite valve also splits. But metal bottle and lid is robust. Shame about the rest. I have two for the kids. Replacement parts in the colours other than black are also not available.
