Hello. Thanks for watching! Mistakes you should be wary of: -Please note there's an extra O in Exit This Earth's AtOmosphere! -It was not Bassdrop Freaks that was a song from that contest, but "ませまてぃっく♥ま+ま=まじっく!". Got them mixed up -Used 2021 EXCEED GEAR Footage instead of EXH footage for Sayonara Heaven -Pronunciation errors (said prix, BlackY and BEMANI wrong, have mercy)

This makes me wonder if theres a possibility for Camellia to collaborate with Project Sekai. And yes, I know he isn't doing that stuff anymore, but if Sega/Crypton could commission Hachi/Kenshi Yonezu to make Miku's 10th anniversary song, then I think they can get out with this haha

4:01 I've only once resonated with someone this much musically. When Camellia said this, I realized why I had been obsessed with his music for so long. While many other reasons may exist, the biggest reason is the unique, and rarely looping melodies found in his song. And when it does repeat, it only comes back stronger. I will never understand how a song repeating a melody or a line over and over again will be musically tasteful, but I digress. I enjoy minimal pieces like jazz or lofi however, but that's mainly for background noise. When i actually want to listen to something, loops are my biggest hatred.

Camellia happens to be one of my favorite artists in the rhythm game world, like this guy happens to be the best goats of music respectfully in my rankings, from redalice's alive to usao's miracle 5ympho x. This man made me welcome to hardcore tano*c in the first place in my teen to adult years! Like I call this guy "the goat of every music I ever listened to". Like if I can compare to every song or remix, idk im in heaven whenever I Camellia, especially that sayonara heaven remix.

I clicked on this video out of curiosity, and I've got to say, a lot of questions have been answered and I've been given plenty to replace them with! I recognized the name from his Vocaloid days, since I've been delving deeper into weirder songs from the early days of the culture lately, and it's really hard to avoid SYSTEMATIC LOVE or Splatter Party popping up in those hunts. I actually came here with what seems to be the opposite of most folks' knowledge- I have no idea what's been going on recently (HE'S REALLY IN DELTARUNE???) but I fondly remember his superb Miku sounds. From looking around real quick, I know a handful of his instrumentals from stuff like Beat Saber, but I've never played any of those games outside of Vocaloid ones so I had no idea he was THAT well known! This video has definitely given me a lot of places to look for more good music :> Thank you for making it, and putting in the time to make it as informative as you did!

5:07 "I tried to sing" is not really a challenge, it's mostly just the niconico community's way of saying a cover. The tag for covers is literally "I tried to sing" (歌ってみた). 9:17 That title can be translated into something like "looked at a pussy and my dick's now big". Seriously. (This is why the "mystery of life" line is ironically emphasized, I think.) I knew he made Vocaloid songs, but I didn't know his first Vocaloid song is a meme song…

22:46 PENDUAL was from 2014 (predating the 2013 section you go into), but also I don't think Bassdrop Freaks was from a rhythm game competition -- IIDX doesn't usually do those. Timeline-wise I believe the song Camellia's referring to in the interview is ませまてぃっく♥ま+ま=まじっく! for the SDVX II production confirmation competition, which ran from 2013-03-04 to 2013-03-25.

@@rinnythe16th Aww, so you recorded only bits and pieces of that meeting? I pretty much just wanted to find the source/quote of Camellia himself talking about how long he can spend on each track. For instance; For how long has his work rate been around a couple days to a week per track, is this only recently or has he been that productive ever since f.ex. 2014 (the year of Dreamless, Sudden, diffraction AND the first Nanahira album?)

"I wouldn't be surprised if less than 5% of the people that eventually come to watch this video even knew Camellia did vocaloid, let alone knew this album existed." Hi, it's me I'm the 5%! I found Cametek from SDVX, and I was (still am) in search of musicians with similar sensibilities to Nekomata Master, so I might as well check out this guy that did a nice remix of Sayonara Heaven, right? It turned out Cametek's vocaloid works scratched this itch just right, since Nekomata's influence was written all over multiple tracks from that period (like the synth!). I vaguely remember Honey Ginger Ale took a bit longer for me to track down though, and I never uncovered flow arrow (CD). Anyway, agreed with how Stance on Wave and the doujin works following it were when Camellia honed something truly his own, and the rest is history. (Btw, as a big fan of Nekomata I was happy when you mentioned him. I don't know anyone talking about Bemani artists in organized manner like this, so I take what I can get lol)
