The Princess Royal is already spread thin as it is, and due to her advancing years, was hoping to be in a less prominent role. However, her sense of honour and duty is too great for her to abandon the monarchy during its time of greatest need. Unfortunately, I think any royal assuming patronage of Invictus would be too problematic. Mordred would see it as something else his family took from him, therefore the BRF should not do anything that could cause him to claim further victimhood status. Sadly, I think Invictus will be left on its own, to sink or swim, with or without their current patron.

I know the Tindalls are fun and dynamic and 'out there', and I love them to pieces, but have we forgotten about Peter Philips? Is he an option to bring in to do Royal duties? The Tindalls appear to be very busy with their own jobs/lives. Mike is super busy with all his rugby/media work and Zara with all her horse racing commission work. And yes, I too would love to see them take on the Invictus Games, if anyone could boost the games and really highlight the Veterans and what they do it would be the Tindalls, especially seeing that Mike I a professional athlete himself, he knows what's involved to get to that standard and he's also heavily involved himself with media and interviewing etc. But the main thing I think he would bring would be his down to earth 'common man' touch and relatability. A long time ago, H. was supposed to be working on a cattle ranch, in Australia, but was whisked back to Blighty, after he took unwanted liberties, with an unwilling, young woman. A shorter while ago, MM screamed at the Governor's wife, in whose mansion she, and H. were staying, because they were only given a wing, of the mansion, MM felt the Governor and his wife, should have moved out, and let the Harkles have use of the whole mansion. Also, MM threw a pot of tea, at a member of staff, at the Governor's mansion. The RF paid the staff member off, generously, but the incident was widely reported on, in Australia. Subsequently, Prince Andrew was sent to Australia, on an apology tour.

Henry and Megs were dreadful. Meg's claimed she was ill and cancelled appointments and then went shopping with Jessica Mulroney. She commented that she couldn't understand why crowds of Australians turned up to greet them. She swore at our Govenor General's wife and wanted her to move out of her own home so that the Harkles and their hangers on could have the place to themselves. Megs made the kitchen staff stay up all night baking banana cakes until she was happy with the product and then produced it as something she had made herself at an engagement. She bullied staff and threw or spilt hot tea on a staff member who was made sign an NDA and given a large sum of money as compensation for the injuries. Allegedly Prince Andrew was sent to Australia by the RF to apologise to the Australian Government over the Harkles behaviour. ( That one's rumour) The media at the time reported that during loud quarrels Henry was heard asking " are you really pregnant" and " is it really mine" ( allegedly.) I used to go to the local library to read the 'West Australian' and the 'Australian ' newspapers as they are very expensive nowadays, it never occured to me to photocopy the articles but copies of the newspapers would be archived in the State and Commonwealth Archives. Henry invited David Beckham to attend a sporting event with him. David travelled all the way to Australia to attend and Henry decided to ghost him at the event without bothering to give him any reason why. The Harkles are horrible people and I hope they never come back.

i think the clothing budgets are just for official working royal engagements, not just all their clothers. I'd bet KC3 did pay a huge allowance for his children's families out of his pocket. or the duchy

@@sillygoose-bf7pp correct for official engagements. During MM's time as a working royal it's reported that she spent more money than all of the royal women of Europe combined. She spent a million dollars. I think the sovereign grant covers all staff, official travel and might include security. The late Queen supported Anne, Edward and Andrew and her cousins that worked because they couldn't work. Charles supported William and Harry.
