Tulsa always tears down or hides it's past.. one of many historical places that soon will be forgotten

I totally agree, I've noticed that myself. Someday I wouldn't be surprised if Tulsa is one of the only city's with absolutely nothing left of its historical architectural past. Nothing but poorly built cheap cracker box buildings thrown up in its place and stupid clueless people who don't have any idea of the architectural beauty that once was here.

Even though it's been 34 years since I had stayed there with my Parents, seeing this video was so sad and I couldn't help the tears....it was one of THE happiest memories o my childhood.. I remember how fascinated and excited I was whweulled up and saw the draw bridge and the mote, oh wow nd the inside sunken Great Hall, dark wood panels and coats of armour. So incredibly sad, but so happy to have experienced that magic

I worked at the Camelot Inn. I loved it there!! I was friends with the Public Relations Rep., and I met many celebrities. I started off working in the Restaurant, then Housekeeping, then Room Service Waiter, then Limo Driver: driving guests to and from the airport. I miss it. Sad that it is gone.

Wouldn't have been great if the QT had put a little Camelot castle design into the store?

I remember this unique hotel from the late 1970s and 80s when my family would travel to Tulsa. I also remember it being in one scene in the movie "Tex" which was an adaptation from the S.E. Hinton book.

I worked there in the early 80s in security. Lots of interesting memories. My best friend was the bell captain. I briefly dated a gal who worked the front desk. I also went to Spartan School of Aeronautics.

I went to meetings, art shows, and a sci fi convention there. Stayed overnight there. It was a happening place! 👍
