I was with my dog, Tuicker, going to a hike north of Lillooet and on the eastside of the Fraser, I drove high and started the hike through a cutblock when to my surprise Mama Grizzly stood up while her two cubs went into the bush. I called Tucker back immediately and that was the end of the hike. Mama then went into the bush and I could hear them grunting to each other.

Sounds like a hair raising experience! Also one positive to going while it's still winter is I knew the bears would still be hibernating

I love your channel so much. Such beautiful and interesting destinations. I’m in shock that there were camels here in BC at one point! Thank you for that history. Also the sheer effort of getting to these places. I just got back from camping - at a CAMPGROUND- with my kid and I’m wiped 😂 Much love. I hope your channel continues to grow and more people get the opportunity to share in your adventures ✌🏼

That was cool to know some history about the lookout and about the camels. I live in Williams lake and we had fire lookouts they were built on stilts but as far as i know 2 have been taken down from the forestry due to mountain biking trails and posed a risk of liability, there might be one left if it is still there you guys should film it.

Awesome! Too bad it is just a shell of a building now. I’m so glad that Saddle Mountain Fire Lookout was restored by our local trails society. Not authentic but clean and tidy. Certainly an incredible location!
@lifeofluke3 жыл бұрын
Ya, it definitely makes you appreciate the restored ones! When it boils down to it, there's simply too many fire lookouts to restore. That being said, it looked like the metal roofing was new on this one.

Is the road open to public? Not sure if it’s native land or not… Also you think it’s passable by capable 4x4 to the top?
@lifeofluke3 жыл бұрын
The road should be open, but sometimes FSRs do get closed. It's definitely not passable to drive to the top. It's a trail
