Best call to action yet; get creative. I feel like the lack of creativity out there is maybe in part do to overbearing amounts of responsibility (both imagined and real) and perhaps a bit of oppression from mass and social media (through fear and divisive tactics). In a life where you're bombarded with negative stuff and your responsibilities are piling up, what's safer/easier - take risk, push your mind to think more and be creative or choose the path of least resistance and often less effort. Moreover, people are mentally lazy as a dead rock these days with short attention spans too. If someone wants to be creative, they need to shut off the tech, read a physical book, then go walk in the woods for like a few hours just thinking (or equivalent). Who's going to really do that when most people breathe through their phones 24/7. Good contemplative topic though, thanks 👍. Hey you're a natural in front of the camera, it's like you're just comfortably talking to someone you know, be great to maybe get some advice from you on speaking to a camera for KZbin (ironically not that creative a topic; but also relevant as you would need to be creative to make it an interesting video (lols) 🤷‍♂).

I think you're right. More and better tech doesn't equal creativity. In fact often it is the LACK of resources that forces one to be creative. Once I was out on a shoot and I realized I'd forgotten my main tripod. All I had was a small telescoping 3 in 1 selfie cellphone tripod. Due to the tripod shortness I was forced to creatively find a very low angle that looked good for the video. Had I had my normal tripod I probably wouldnt have done that. In the end, I think that video is the best of my work to date.

I love stories like this! I agree that creativity is born when there isn't a lot of opportunity! You perfectly explained it! Thanks for watching and thanks for supporting the channel!👍🏾

Nice video! I am not a videographer, but I've had great video ideas about 15 years ago, on making trippy video's as a videoclips to songs, great potential and very creative, but I did know that it wouldn't be easy to do, and would require a lot of work, and to be able to do that would mean I'd need to learn photoshop, and video making skills. This wasn't my prior goal in life, so it was just a thought came to my mind. So I know what you're saying, it's same thing about guitar's and other gear. I am also aware that if I had a full-frame camera instead of APS-C, my life would be 2 times longer, and life would be a lot better, and everything would be good. Haha just wanted to make a little joke at the end. Cheers!

I felt exactly the same way, and also wondered why I didn't care in the same way you did. I think I'm getting burned out on the whole camera niche and technology YT thing where it just seems increasingly like we are all just marketing tools for companies and cogs in the YT algorithm. The only reason we're all doing this is to earn money through affiliate links and it's just feeling like a kind of home shopping network.

You hit the nail on the head! There's a NUMBER of times in the past where I have totally scrapped videos (that were VALUABLE to me) and changed my topic because I didn't believe it would get views. Being a small KZbinr almost puts an unspoken weight on your shoulders to GROW, get more views, clicks, likes and comments at the expense of authentically speaking about what I am passionate about. I would imagine (speculate) that most people feel this way when they are small however, once they are larger, the growth of the channel becomes satisfactory (satiating the hunger) and there's no longer a NEED to produce heartfelt content. We basically allow our souls to be hollowed out by the promises of increased income which can lead to a "better" life. Ok.. maybe I went too far.. but I agree with you!😁 Thanks for watching and commenting!👍🏾

Excitement for cinema gear is similar to my sentiments of being a gun enthusiasts. Any firearm will kill its target dead. But slight differences in that recoil, blasting sound, and aiming capability gets me more excited to pull the trigger even though the final result is pretty much the same. Nikon acquiring RED is analogous to when Gaston Glock merged his polymer mold with gun patterns and made the plastic 9mm. A little lighter in weight and slightly easier to carry, but again, it's killing power yields pretty much the same exact result as previous pistols. So don't worry about chasing the latest shit. Shoot with what you have (pun intended).

I love your perspective on this especially with the gun analogy. There are certainly things to be excited over, new grips, less recoil, red dots, dry fire training systems however, if one NEVER goes to the range.. what does it all mean? 👍🏾 This reminds me of a video I shot a long time ago! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! 😁 kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3Tdf6Z_m61nqtksi=HfCPxpw7TpmdJdpB

I am tried of seeing the words "Game Changer"(GC), it's like when CNN says "Breaking NEWS". Until you can buy a robot to go out and take the pictures for you, there are no GC. If the ZV-E10 II has a global shutter and cost $700, that would be a GC. If cameras dropped SD cards and went to M.2 SSD's GC. Otherwise I have the a6700 and it's my camera for the next 2 years. Joke: You know why Apple dropped making a EV car. Because they could not think of a way to get you to buy a new one every year.

Do you actually think that most people out on the Internet have the talent to do something "creative"...to have any vision at all? Of course not. So why even bring it up. Here's a guitar - go write "Eleanor Rigby". The exciting thing about Nikon and Red - or as I like to call it, "Red-Kon"... is a terrific thing because they will exchange their technology and make something even better. In the days when editing systems and cameras cost a lot of money, I used to have a great business. But now everyone tells me, "oh, I can shoot it on my iPhone" and edit it in iMovie - because they know what they're doing. No they don't. They don't have a clue, but they don't know what they don't know. Look at the average video out there today - the camerawork sucks, the editing is atrocious... the ideas are non-existent...but the armies of the no-talent continue to march on.

Thanks for stopping by. I do believe that people on the internet have the capability to be creative. I just believe that creativity is cultivated through finding one's purpose and being taught how to articulate the gifts and talents they were born with. The problem is that camera gear, the allure of fame, money and prestige all look more APPEALING than putting in the WORK to actually grow one's creativity. The average video today is a REFLECTION of the LACK of work people have done on themselves. My goal is to encourage those that are interested in being creative but maybe lack motivation or some small parts here and there. Thanks for watching and leaving feedback! 👍🏾
