Why don't you choose Triopo 90 octagon,? What do you think between two of them,?
@BelindaJiao4 жыл бұрын
Syam, good question! Personally, i don't think there is a definite advantage of either over the other. Most professional studios are expected to have both octagonal and rectangular softboxes. For the purpose of this video, I demonstrated using a rectangular one, because it is applicable to more genres of photography, due to the rectangular reflections it creates.

hey there, yes it does - the S2 Bowens mount is what holds the light to the soft box, and they have been sold as a bundle (see: www.amazon.co.uk/Portable-Magnetic-Lightweight-Off-Camera-Modelling/dp/B08W5B6XW9) It means that you can go ahead to buy any soft box that has the S2 Bowens mount

Nice demo except I was hoping you’d show in greater detail how you get the ring to fit in the softbox. That’s where I had trouble. When I did this step it was such a tight fit that I actually stretched the fabric into a slight tear ugh! Did you find this to be a problem?
@BelindaJiao3 жыл бұрын
hey Ben, yes that's normal as the entire weight of the softbox is supported by the tight wires. I did it by brute force really - hows it going? was the tear bad?
@BenSussmanpro3 жыл бұрын
@@BelindaJiao Hi, thanks for replying. No, more like a severe stretchmark on the verge of tearing. I’m glad I’m not the only 1 who found it a struggle. Otherwise I really like this softbox and will likely buy a 2nd (I recently switched from Canon to Sony and needed all new lighting gear). I’ll check out some of your other videos. Thanks again.

Is the trigger for my camera necessary?
@BelindaJiao3 жыл бұрын
hiya Jalen, I would say it is highly recommended. You can technically get your flash to fire off camera without a trigger set but that causes a bunch of other complications. For a full breakdown, I have this video which explains further: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4ObnZ6fn5VjarM Hope this helps! :)

@@BelindaJiao Aww, thank you so much. I am about to buy one today. :) If you have to choose between the two, which one is better, the TT350f or TT520ii?

@@BelindaJiao hi again. So i got my speedlight now. Ugh, it isn't working off cam.. I forgot I need a trigger.. I really need it, right? There is no way it would work without it?
@BelindaJiao3 жыл бұрын
hey Johnny, it is either you get the triggers, or a cable that you plug into your camera on one end and your flash on the other, which is usually less workable depending on how far you want to take your flash from the camera

What's the better softbox 80 or octa 90 ?
@BelindaJiao4 жыл бұрын
Monty, as far as I am aware of, there is no definite edge either way between the two, with subtle differences depending on the subject you intend to shoot. Are you mostly doing portraits? How large is the thing you photograph?
