Camera Installation on Siesta Key -- Sarasota, Florida

While Rhoda and I have come for a business trip to Florida, we joined forces with Charlie Garret, who made a guest appearance on Jericho to Jerusalem episode in Season 3, to build a live stream camera that will show the beautiful views of the Little Sarasota Bay.

Editorial correction: in 1948, there were 200 people living on the key (not "two houses" as I mentioned in the video), but still, only a few houses. Today, there are over 30,000 people living on the key.

As a Sarasota native - my sister still teaches Sailboarding on Bird Key - I can tell you those temps are not as cold as it gets. In my lifetime I have seen it snow 3 times in Sarasota. And I have seen temps so low that they decimated the citrus industry across the central state :) I'm glad you can now share the beauty of Sarasota with the world 24/7 :) Mazel Tov!

I Love "Your Love" of connecting Biblical history, and understanding,to the present day archiological finds and ruins in Israel. Outstanding!!! My grandparents owned a house on Indian Rocks Beach that they removed from an orange grove and rebuilt on the beach stick for stick. My great grandfather owned a lot of land there before all the transplants moved in... They sold the house and moved to Crystal River which is where I grew up. Beautiful sunsets, but I'm glad I live in NC now ;-) Love the mountains!!! Glad you had a good time :-)

I lived in Sarasota when I was little. Especially bad was a flood one year. My mom was silly enough to go to church that night for choir practice and was unable to get home. I was maybe 5 and my little sister was then 3. My dad went out the next morning to help rescue people from their flooded homes by boat leaving us home alone. Yep that's my folks for you. Did not bother to ask the nice people next door or across the street to watch us. Luckily we were used to the sound of the roaring lions. Back then the circus still was headquartered there and that particular family lived about three streets over lol.
